It was a difficult day for Douglas as he packed up his belongings from his current office, handed his staff pass to the security and left the office building where he gave 15 years of his life. Because of the changing landscapes and cost reduction measures in his ex-company, Douglas was retrenched.

With no income at the moment, he had to reduce his current expenditure in order to be able to not drain in savings while he looks for a new job. And the biggest expenditure he had right now is the monthly instalment of his car. The car had brought him loads of convenience and brought him from place to place with ease. However, with the sudden change to his life, he had to seek a new owner for his car and change his mode of travel to public transport.

He quickly drove his car to the nearest second car dealer and speak to a sales executive to get a good quote for his car. While the unwillingness is there, he accepted the quote and handed over the keys to the sales executive.

From now, he will have to adjust to this new lifestyle change before he gets a new stable job.
