According to MD, the English winger will arrive in Barcelona in the next few hours after the Barcelona club reached an agreement with United for his loan, with an option to buy.
Barça have opted to sign 27-year-old Marcus Rashford to bolster their Barça forward line this summer. Following Nico Williams' rejection and Liverpool's high demands for Luis Díaz, which Barça weren't willing to exceed 60 million euros (while Bayern Munich are already offering more than 67 million euros), the club has definitively opted for Marcus Rashford, the third in the Barça shortlist and the one who has shown the most interest in playing at the Camp Nou, with constant nods towards the Catalan team and its stars.
The Athletic reported that Barcelona has submitted an offer through intermediaries (the company AC Talent) to secure a loan for Rashford for the 2025-26 season, with an option to buy. Sources familiar with the negotiations explained that the agreement between the two clubs is already finalized and that the player will fly to Barcelona in the coming hours to immediately join Barça's preseason training camp and join the Asian tour on Thursday.
According to the same report from the American newspaper, Hansi Flick has already spoken with Rashford to explain his project. With this signing, and given FC Barcelona's financial situation, the loan would help the English international fit into Barça.
