Hi community!

The Catalan club has been forced to make this decision due to a breach of contract by the promoter of the friendly against Vissel Kobe.

The matches in South Korea against Seoul FC (July 31) and Daegu FC (August 4) are up in the air, and the club wants to ensure full guarantees.

Barça were scheduled to depart for Japan this Thursday morning (11 a.m.) to begin their summer tour, but will cancel their flight. The Blaugrana club was forced to make this decision due to a breach of contract by the promoter of this Sunday's friendly against Vissel Kobe. The club confirmed this in a statement.

It remains to be seen whether Barça will be able to travel to South Korea for the two other matches scheduled against Seoul FC and Daegu FC on Thursday, July 31, and Monday, August 4, respectively. To ensure this happens, the Barcelona club wants to ensure it has all the necessary guarantees. The tour promoter is D-Drive, based in Seoul, the South Korean capital. Its CEO is Ham Seul. This company has previously worked with the Royal Spanish Football Federation.

The Blaugrana club had expected to earn around 15 million euros for the entire Asian tour after spending the last three summers in the United States.

Barça will have one final preseason match on Sunday, August 10, against Como in the Joan Gamper Trophy, which will be held at the Estadi Johan Cruyff. The cancellation of the first match in Kobe disrupts Hansi Flick's plans. Should the Catalan club also be unable to travel to South Korea without guarantees, alternatives will be sought to host friendlies, knowing that Barça has the pull of a strong roster of star players. The news is sure to activate many promoters, racing against time. In fact, there was the possibility of playing in Morocco this season, something the club ruled out to avoid overloading the summer. It shouldn't be ruled out that the possibility could be revived.

See You soon!
