Adeyemi returns to Barça's orbit.
Hi community!
In Germany, they claim that the Blaugrana club's interest in the Borussia Dortmund striker has been revived.
FC Barcelona hasn't lost sight of the fact that one of the areas it will have to address for next season is that of the number '9'. The Blaugrana club isn't ruling out any scenario right now, from Robert Lewandowski continuing to the transfer market, and obviously including the possibility of opting for a replacement from the 'homegrown' Ferran Torres. The Valencian, in fact, is having a great start to the season.

One of the names that the Blaugrana sporting directors have always had on their radar is Karim Adeyemi. The 23-year-old German footballer has long been a favorite at the Camp Nou. In 2021, when he played for RB Salzburg, Barça explored his signing, but the attacker opted to accept Borussia Dortmund's offer. That same year, however, the player himself admitted that he imagined playing for the Blaugrana "in the future."
Four years later, Adeyemi has returned to Barça's orbit. According to 'Bild', the club is monitoring the German striker's situation, with his contract running until June 30, 2027. Dortmund wants to renew his contract until 2029, but if the player doesn't accept their offer, they will be forced to put him up for sale next summer to avoid losing him without financial compensation a year later.
Also according to the aforementioned source, Barcelona's interest has been "revived" by Adeyemi's strong start to the season. This season, he has already scored three goals and provided three assists in eight matches. Although he has played in the attacking midfielder position in most matches, he has also performed well as a mobile attacking player.
It's important to note, in this regard, that the current financial situation at Barcelona makes it very difficult to conceive of a high-value transfer in the near future. It's no less true, however, that Deco and Hansi Flick will have to make a decision to ensure the number 9 position is adequately covered.
See You soon!
