I think if we studied cats like humans, as my vet once said "All cats have autism" :D
You have captured that quite well, the sense of distraction. My cat is lovely, but she woke me up this morning wanting attention (and I think she was checking if I was still alive, because owing to the daylight saving that just happened - I slept longer than normal) :D

ahh day light savings we get that here on oct 26th when the clock goes an hour back again , yeah cats don't have that problem they have a differend clock ussualy involves food .
It always involves food for our little feline friends!
