RE: Numbers Don't Lie? Apparently, They Get You Fired.

I read an article on the Australian ABC last night that mirrored some of the thoughts about this, particularly the heading "numbers don't lie".
The article was about the ambulance "ramping" stuff going on in South Australia and it was tagged as an analysis / deep dive into the coroner's report about ramping deaths. He, allegedly had a section of the report about the media's sensationalism about ramping contributing to "hysteria" and overblowing the situation.
The one thing the article about ramping didn't do, in response to the coroner's report. ... Was quote the actual data, which is published. PUBLICLY.
Numbers creeping to an all time high, yet it wasn't so much as a blip in the article, when it is there in the data provided by the health service. I don't know how much more belligerent and benign traditional media can get.
Someone need to get fired, and not the guy publishing the numbers
I mean, I don't know if journalists technically have jobs anymore, but if they do, their ability to hold power to account should definitely have some influence on how much they get paid.
