WE ACT ONLY WHEN IT HURTS

When we are sick , we are desperate to get cured as soon as possible, and this puts us into the action mode . But at times , when we are relaxed and healthy, living a normal routine life, we don't feel the urge to make some extra efforts to care for our minds and bodies.
That's high time to make sure we take care of ourselves when you least feel the urge to do it. That's the time we need to do it most.
Because I feel our bodies work like machines and even machines need repair and maintenance.
So why not take care of our minds and bodies in the midst of a hectic schedule. When life is all about hustle and bustle.
The high level demanding nature of our modern world lifestyle makes it even more important to take out time for our personal care.
I make sure I do my morning rituals, including positive self-talk , meditation , personal grooming , personal hygiene, and much more.
Journaling is the best way of catharsis and feeling light-hearted again. Once you put it all out on a piece of paper , u feel refreshed and healed. !! The same happens to me . So, it's a tried and tested method to boost mental clarity and peace of mind.
Auto suggestion and positive affirmations are some of the ways to create positivity in your life . As it is said when the going gets tough, the tough gets going!!
I also try to improve my skills and sharpen my saw. I am also a big fan of reading motivational quotes and listening to renowned motivational speakers!! As it opens your mind to the doors of new possibilities and opportunities in life. I love to read self-help books as they help me expand my horizon.
I love applying face masks as skin care routine is very crucial, specifically when facing harsh weather. Moisturising in winters and cold showers in summers are a few of the best ways to combat the effects of scorching heat and dry winters when cool breezes are sucking up your natural moisture leaving your skin dull and flaky.
I love to take breaks, and during those breaks, I love to enjoy taking sips from my favourite herbal infusion and fruity flavoured green teas!!
Selfcare is one of my favourite areas in which I love to work more as I understand the importance of pampering myself and not letting myself get swayed by the bitterness of my circumstances and the fatigue of a demanding fast paced life!!
So the key is to take a step back from the auto pilot , take charge of your personal care , live in the present, enjoy the moments, and shower yourself with the bounties of nature through the acts of self love and self care.
I must also emphasise again on the value of taking breaks . Until a few months ago, I was not aware of the value of having breaks in life. When I started studying the productivity methods , I explored and realised the vital role of taking short times of giving yourself a treat and reward through doing recreational activities like watching your favourite t.v show or listening to your favourite music . It will replenish your soul and boost your energy levels.
So, I would suggest u never underestimate the power of deriving joy from simple fun activities . There is no need to make a big vacation plan which could be over whelming and burdening your finances. Instead, just embrace the simple pleasures during the course of life .we need to focus on the little excuses we can make to escape from the harsh realities of life and pay attention to mindfulness.
Mindfulness makes your focus sharp and gives you immense pleasure in seeking ultimate goodness from life .
I have also explored the world of yoga . It was an unknown territory for me decades ago, but fewer years, I started practising this wonderful activity on a regular basis .and I discovered its magic. The soothing stretches. Yoga serves as a medicine for all ailments, both physical as well as mental. I try to expand my horizon and stretch myself in this area by learning new yoga asans and incorporating them into my daily routine!! It's such a soothing activity. It energises u and elevates your mood !! U can do it in both mornings and evenings.
This reminds me of the power of deap breathing. It helps get rid of anxious thoughts and bad stress . Instead, it instils a sense of calmness u can feel in your mind , soul, and body. I think it's worth it to learn breathing techniques and add them in your daily routine.!!!
Last but not least,we need to cultivate both good hobbies and good habits in your life. We all have personal individual choices and preferences as long as hobbies are concerned.For me , losing myself in a good book is one of the best ways to escape into the wonderful world of fiction .In this zone of my life, the magic happens. I find myself in a fairy tale world where I spend time with my favourite characters.!!!
In the end, I would like to incorporate some ideas from my positive self-talk journaling with the hope that these examples will help u guys to go to the next level in the journey of self love and self care.
Dear me. I want to meet u . I want to take care of u. I want to love u unconditionally. I want to value u and respect u like I value and respect other people. I want to treat myself the way I treat my friends and family. Infact truly speaking I deserve a lot of attention and acceptance that can be given to me by me only because I deserve the best and only I can give my self what I deserve and I deserve whole hearted love and acceptance. No judging myself , no self-doubt , no self-critical voice .just embracing and encouraging my authentic being . My inner voice should be of love and understanding. And I have to believe in my abilities , my ultimate goodness.
