A DAILY WORD IN FRENCH (#34)

Happy Thursday to everyone !
My fellow #education lovers and amiable #students I hope you are having a great week so far. I wish you all an amazing weekend ahead, everyone.
So without wasting so much of our time let us get into a very interesting lesson.

Today’s word is BEAUCOUP.
As we all know it’s a very popular French word that we have all seen or heard somewhere even if we may not know the meaning but that will change today during the course of this lesson.
what does this popular word mean?
Beaucoup means a lot or very much.
It’s used to specify or intensify things or to show quantity and gratitude as well im many cases, i remembered received about a hundred $ earlier today and I had to tell my friend MERCI BEACOUP 🙏 and even added Dieu te bénisse which means GOD BLESS YOU.

It’s super easy to read and pronounce actually. Pronunciation is like boh-koo. Very easy, goes with your mouth almost fully open like boh ku!

Let us take for example :

Je travaille beaucoup — I work a lot

Merci beaucoup — Thank you very much

J’aime la nourriture beacoup — I love food so much

Did you notice anything ?
The meaning of the beacoup changes a bit or varies based on context and it can be used however you want it to mean as long as you’re expressing yourself the right way.

Very much so much and etc.
This is one of the most commonly used words in French because it helps you express quantity and intensity like I said earlier and we do this almost everyday.

We all love French beacoup if not we wont be here everyday. It is simple, but you will hear it everywhere, and once you learn it, you start noticing it more in conversations.

Thank you for reading
