The Crochet Obsession - More Project Progress, Seasonal Sickness Can't Stop The Obsession!
Greetings friends.
Today has not been an easy day. Not at all. Being sick and stuck in bed for most of the day also doesn't help much. I did manage to work on my project a little bit at least.
The first image is also the first of many more roses to be made. I think it is pretty cute and am getting excited for the final thing to be done and assembled.
A second, larger spider. I will pose the legs better once I start assembling things. As luck would have it, learning how to create this taught me what I needed to know to be able to create the vine part of my design.
The vine part, which was more complicated to make than it looks. I added hot glue along the back to help it keep its shape even though, as I will explain in the final project post, I created it in such a way that the curls and curves are already there. (Of course I wouldn't settle for just making and 'posing' a simple chain)
Just a preview, the final assembly will be much neater. It is held in place by only two pins here, just to test if it'll hold its shape and if the web will be strong enough to bear the weight of it. It seemed such a simple idea at first but is proving to have many fun little challenges like this, which I am greatly enjoying.
Well that's it for now. Till next time!

Crocheting is really interesting
Thank you, it is a lot of fun
I'm glad you were able to complete your project, it looked beautiful, I really like that spider web.
Thank you, I still need to add a lot more to it. Hoping it'll not be too heavy
Get well soon, dear. All your creations are spectacular. My favourite is the spider
Thank you so much. The spider was a bit tricky at first but rather fun to create. Thanks for the kind words
