Pages From My Sketchbook - Easy Mushroom Tutorial ( Bonus: Cute Drawing Idea With Video)

Greetings Friends!
This is just a silly little tutorial for drawing pretty much any mushroom. Very basic and easy to follow so give it a go and show me some mushroom creations! The Koala drawing is just for fun, might as well add it here, make it worth more than a bunch of memories.

Step 1 : A line for the stem, in any position and as long/short as we want our mushroom stem to be.

Step 2 : The base and top of the mushroom stem, once again, adjust as needed. I chose to do a very basic almost cartoony mushroom so my top will be slightly smaller than the base.

Step 3 - Connect and shape mushroom stem. Easy as that!

Step 4 - Draw oval for the bottom part of your mushroom. Draw it only slightly smaller than you would like the cap of your mushroom as we will be adding a tiny bit to it.

Step 5 - A simple triangle to start the cap. Size of triangle will depend on the type of mushroom you are drawing.

Step 6 - To help get a nice round shape for the cap, add a circle at the top of your triangle. It will make the next step very easy.

Step 7 - Clean up and draw in the shape for the cap using triangle, circle and base of cap as guides.

Step 8 - Draw around the bottom of the cap, making it slightly wider around the bottom edges.

Step 9 - Add 2 to 3 lines around the edge of the bottom of your cap.

Step 10 - Imagine drawing the spokes of a wheel for this part!

Step 11 - Add a few lines to the step, following the shape of it. These do not need to be perfect, randomness adds a little bit of realism after all.

Step 12 - Add the dots.

Step 13 - After cleaning up and going over the lines with ink...you are done!

Awwww! I absolutely love this! You have totally made my day with all the cuteness! I used to love drawing mushrooms, for some reason. Perhaps because I always found them magical? Thank you for the super tutorial as well!
Thank you! ☺️ I did the same as a child, used to hide little mushroom drawings in the garden, for the fairies. 😅
