Can Slime Lord Slow Down Bloodlings?

In Soulkeep, not every tower is meant to kill Fiends. Often, a tower's most important role is to slow down the enemy or even temporarily disrupt their movement, giving other towers a chance to react. This concept became more apparent to me the deeper I progressed through the levels.

In this level of the game, I was attaking by a terrifying type of Fiend which are the Bloodlings. They're extremely fast, and they run like they are as a storm and there's no time to think, because they can simply bypass all defenses and rush towards the gate without anyone even touching them.

I decided to try a tower Slime Lord. It's known for not being a heavy hitting, but its primary strength lies in slowing down enemies. Indeed, when I added this tower in strategic locations, especially around corners and passageways, I felt a significant improvement. It started slowing down the Bloodlings and making them take longer to reach the gate.

But even so, it wasn't enough as the tower managed to stop some of them and let the other towers finish them off. But at the same time, other Bloodlings quickly sneaked in, outflanked all the defenses, and reached the gate, which cost me significant points.

What I learned from this experience is that the Slime Lord alone isn't enough, especially when there's heavy pressure and a large number of fast Fiends. I need to start combining it with other towers, whether they hit fast or deal heavy damage, to create a balanced formation that simultaneously stops speed and numbers.

This level has learned me that in Soulkeep, you need to think carefully and know when to use a tower and how to add the rest of the defense. Not everything is a kill but each tower has an important role even if all it does is slow down the enemy for a few seconds.
