Saturday was the first workday of the week for me. It was quite a busy day at work. I consulted 46 patients in my chamber. As usual, most of the patients came in the evening shift.
Still, most of the patients are coming with a cold, cough, and fever. Sometimes, 2 or more members of the same family are coming with a similar problem. Occasionally, we are getting different cases.
In the evening, a workplace injury case came. While working, a worker got hit on the left side of his face, just below the left eye. His left was saved but it was pretty close!! I had to put three stitches to close the wound!
Some parents are quite stubborn about taking injections for their small children. While a syrup or suppository can do the work, the want injection, for more rapid actions! This put excessive fear into some children. But the parents love to ignore that part! One such boy came crying, continued trying almost the whole time, and left crying!
From a health perspective, Saturday wasn't a good day. According to the Fitbit app, I made only 6905 steps! I couldn't walk on the treadmill!
Thanking you

How lucky the man with the wound below his eye was that he did not lose his eye. I only have one working eye, so injuries near the eyes worry me.
As for the parents who insist on a shot, they are causing unnecessary trauma to their child. Shame on them.

Indeed, he was a lucky guy!
Very few parents can be convinced not to take the injections. Most of them want injections, in one clinic or another!
It seems like you had a lot of work, especially with so many patients in the afternoon.
The work accident sounds quite delicate, it's good that you were able to attend to it in time.
And the thing about children with injections is always complicated, poor things.
