The AI Dilemma: Protection or Mass Destruction

War is the word with no one want to hear and when it comes into mind the first thought comes into our mind is Destruction, lost of human lives, the negative effect on natural resources including the birds, animals, soil etc. The side effects of world wars can be seen today also even after so many years. No doubt the war is very bad for may country irrespective that it is developing or developed countries. No one wanna see kids growing without parents and this is one of the biggest effect of war as it not only took the life of soldiers, it completely destroy the families. A war took the country, year behind the other as it took time to recover the damage happened because of the war. But in the era of technology the way of war countries were fought in the past has also been changed. The new technologies are introduced to the armed forces, and it's not limited to the mass distraction tools only as the AI, drones and even robots has been become the part of armed forces. At first it looks good as in general it will save the lives of soldiers as it will drastically reduce the direct fight of soldiers on borders but if you look into deep them we come to know the other big side effects of the same.

If the countries use the AI and robots in war then it will be a big relief for soldiers but still countries need them as to operate the technology they need the human beings. The use of such technology will change the way of fighting as it will more like a cold war. No one will show their true intentions as behind the scenes all things will happen. In case of robots it drones it easy to get the information that who is the enemy but in case of AI it will be very difficult to know the source of origin. And even if it's identified then also it's very difficult to prove it as it's a computer code and can be deployed from anywhere and anytime. In this way the country under attack will not even knowing who is the enemy which is more dangerous situation for a country facing the war like situation.
The AI could be more dangerous as it is capable of mas destruction, now the question arises how? Now days all activities form twitching in the TV to complicate tasks like surgery in hospitals are done by AI assistant. That means the exsistance of AI is everywhere form our homes, hospitals, schools, military or even in the nuclear power plans. Now let's take a situation where the the AI is performing some crucial tasks in a nuclear power plant and any mismatching in those tasks could leads to a situation where the nuclear activity become uncontrollable. We all know the meaning of uncontrollable nuclear activity means it is a nuclear bomb. Now any any means if a enemy take over those crucial activities by taking the control of AI can do a damage which is unimaginable.

Took another situation where a complete trasportion system of a country could be stand still because of a bug in the software used to manage it. A example we have seen recently where a bug in the window OS caused the interruption and worldwide the flight were getting cancelled because of some. Who knows if this not cause by the bug and company was just covering a cyber attack. A simple code in the form of virus has the capability to destroy the complete data on servers, this is a biggest threat for banking institutions as now days all the activities are online and data is stored on servers, it has the capability to shake the complete economic of the country. AI can easily cause the interruption in many systems like water management, transportation etc and the interruption in those system may cause the chaos among the public. AI could be a mass distraction tools if used with ill intention.
