The Sound of Silence at the Riverbed

There's a silence that can only be found at a riverbed like this a place where small stones line up neatly, silently enduring the flow of time passing over them. The clear water reveals the ancient story of each stone; some are smooth from being worn down by the current, while others remain sharp as if they've just fallen from the cliff of time.

Between the cracks in the stones, tiny life lurks. A water insect dances on the surface, leaving a small ripple that quickly fades. Drops of water falling from a large rock above make a soft sound, like a secret tinkling between nature and tranquility. Each splash brings a sense of freshness, as if reminding us that even in the quietest places, life continues to beat.

The green grasses on the banks seem to speak with their subtle movements. They bend, then rise again whenever a gentle breeze passes. Everything feels alive, yet nothing is in a hurry. Here, time slows down no hustle and bustle, no engine noise, or human voices. Only the whisper of water and the scent of wet earth, peacefully embracing nature.

I sat for a long time on the edge, letting my gaze dissolve in its clarity. The rocks at the bottom of the water were like small mirrors, reflecting the serenity. Sometimes I think, perhaps life is like this river: carrying everything light and heavy, rolling up the past, yet still flowing endlessly toward who knows where.

Among the rocks and the drops of water, I learned one simple thing that beauty doesn't always have to be grand. Sometimes, it's hidden beneath the still water, waiting to be discovered by eyes willing to pause and a heart willing to listen.
