The Day Before Eid Al-Fitr, Bustling Markets and Full of Hope

Today felt different. Since morning, the streets had been filled with people with the same goal heading to the market to prepare everything they needed for Eid al-Fitr, which fell tomorrow. This photo shows how crowded it was, with vehicles jostling for space, and faces filled with excitement and fatigue.
I too was swept up in the bustle. Motorcycles moved slowly, almost crawling through the sea of people. To the right and left, vendors busily offered their wares from food supplies and new clothes to mouth-watering Eid cakes. The sounds of bargaining echoed, creating a unique market rhythm that can only be felt around a big day like this.

The scorching sun no longer bothered me. Everyone seemed focused on their own goals. Some carried full shopping bags, others were busy choosing, and still others were simply enjoying the atmosphere with the occasional smile. Perhaps they felt a sense of joy at being able to celebrate this day of victory with their families.
I myself bought a few simple necessities cooking ingredients, a few cakes, and a few household necessities. It wasn't about how much I bought, but about the meaning behind it. Every item I brought home seemed to be part of a story of togetherness that would unfold the next day.

Amidst the hustle and bustle, I realized that the market wasn't just a place for transactions, but also a place of hope. Hope for gathering, sharing, and celebrating the joy of a full month of religious observance.
As evening approached, the crowds began to thin out. I slowly left the market with a warm feeling. Although tired, there was a certain satisfaction that all preparations were almost complete.

Tomorrow was the day I had been waiting for. The day when all my fatigue would be paid off with smiles, forgiveness would be exchanged, and togetherness would become the most precious thing.
