Sunset at the Edge of the Rice Fields

The afternoon atmosphere was so calming, the sky beginning to change color from light blue to a soft orange, reflected off the distant mountains. The young rice paddies in the expanse of rice paddies looked fresh, green, and glistening in the reflection of the water still pooling on the embankments. A gentle breeze blew, swaying the coconut leaves at the edge of the rice paddies, adding to the peaceful natural atmosphere.

On the side of the small road separating the rice paddies, a motorcycle was parked modestly, as if a silent witness to the activities of farmers who had probably just finished tending their crops. From a distance, rows of coconut trees stood tall, forming a beautiful silhouette against the fading sky. The mountains faintly visible behind the clouds added a sense of sturdiness and majesty, as if guarding the entire surrounding landscape.

This moment brought back memories of the simple daily life of villagers living close to nature, working in the rice paddies from morning until returning home with a sigh of relief after seeing their crops continue to thrive. There is no hustle and bustle of city noise, only the sound of insects, birds and the gentle breeze are the rhythm of life here.

Scenes like this always teach the meaning of gratitude. How beautiful God's creation is, how calming it is when we really stop for a moment to pay attention to the nature around us. Twilight is not only about the sky changing color, but also about feelings melting into peace.

I feel lucky to be in this place, at the right time, to witness yet another proof of how nature always has its own way of calming a restless heart.
