Freewrite || Learning to Be Grateful from Used Cardboard Collectors

I enjoyed another simple morning in front of a small roadside kiosk. A warm cup of coffee was my constant companion as I watched the residents' activity begin to move. The village atmosphere was peaceful, with only the occasional vehicle passing by.
Soon, my attention was drawn to a cardboard collector riding a modified two-wheeled vehicle. His pedicab was already overflowing with cardboard, but he still stopped to add more. With his remaining strength, he lifted the boxes one by one and neatly stacked them.
His steps seemed heavy, but his enthusiasm was unwavering. The sweat that poured down his face seemed to bear witness to the daily struggle he endured. For some, used cardboard is just trash, but for him, it's a source of income. He buys used cardboard from kiosks and sells it at a scrap yard.
Seeing this scene made me reflect. How many people out there continue to work hard without complaint, living their lives with patience. From simple things like this, I learned to be more grateful for what I have.
That day felt more meaningful. It wasn't just about ordinary activities, but also about the life lessons that come from all around us.
