Freewrite || Amidst a Calming Green Field

The sky was overcast that morning, as if signaling a calm day without intense heat. I stood amidst the green expanse of rice paddies, gazing at the rice plants beginning to droop, a sign that their grains were filling and slowly approaching harvest time.
In my hand was a sprayer, a familiar routine. Step by step, I swung my feet along the embankment, ensuring each part of the plant received adequate protection. The wind blew gently, making the rice sway like a small, living, whispering ocean.
For some, this might be exhausting work. But for me, there was a calmness that was hard to explain. Every drop of sweat felt like part of a long, hopeful process. I knew that what I did today would determine the outcome of the future.
Sometimes I felt anxious. Unpredictable weather, unexpected pests, and various other challenges always lurked. But that's precisely where the struggle lies. Farming isn't just about planting and harvesting; it's also about patience and faith.
I took a deep breath, savoring the distinctive, fresh scent of rice fields. In the distance, a few simple houses stood, witnessing life as it went on. Everything felt so close and real.
Today may be just one of many similar days. But behind its simplicity, there's always a story hidden. A story of effort, hope, and the belief that the results will not betray the process.
