Freewrite || A Sad Sky at the End of a Quiet Road

That morning, the sky looked gloomy, as if still reluctant to fully awaken from its slumber. Clouds hung low, creating a calm, slightly melancholy atmosphere. The small road ahead was deserted, except for the occasional motorbike and slow footsteps following the same direction as the previous days.

I sat for a moment on the side of the road, enjoying the atmosphere that felt simple yet so familiar. To the right and left, old buildings stood with stories we might never truly hear. A small food stall was opening its doors, the aroma of food slowly blending with the still-chill morning air.

A woman walked slowly in the distance, perhaps heading to the market or simply starting her usual activities. There was no rush here. Everything moved at a calm rhythm, as if time had been deliberately slowed down so we could feel more than just running.

Sometimes I think this kind of life is actually the most honest. There's no glitz, no demands to appear great. Just small efforts made every day, step by step, quietly.

But behind that simplicity, there's a strength that often goes unseen. People still wake up early, keep working, keep trying, even though things aren't always easy. This path may seem ordinary, but it bears witness to so many small struggles that mean so much to those who walk them.

And on this quiet morning, I learned another lesson: that not everything that is simple is less valuable. It is precisely in small things like these that we often find a sense of contentment, gratitude, and a peace that nothing can buy.

Nothing comes as a big step. Consistency and coherence are necessary for every success that we want to achieve. And much patience.
