My Actifit Report Card: March 5 2026

Today was a busy but meaningful day for me. Since midday, I've been sewing the peci (traditional prayer cap) worn for worship. This sewing has become part of my daily routine. With great patience and precision, I arrange each piece of fabric and sew them neatly to create a comfortable peci. For me, this work isn't just about earning money, but also gives me a sense of satisfaction in producing something useful for others who will wear it during worship.
Towards the end of the day, after completing some of the sewing, I move on to another equally important activity: tending the rice fields. I go to the fields to apply fertilizer to the growing rice plants. Today, I'm using urea and NPK fertilizer. Both types of fertilizer are crucial for helping the rice plants grow more fertile and produce a good harvest.
I use urea to add nitrogen, which is essential for the rice plants to grow greener and stronger leaves and stems. Meanwhile, NPK fertilizer serves to supplement other nutrient requirements, such as phosphorus and potassium, which are crucial for root growth and plant resilience to various environmental conditions.
Walking slowly across the rice fields, I spread the fertilizer evenly so that all the plants receive adequate nutrition. While this task may seem simple, it requires careful attention and diligence to ensure fertilizer is not wasted and to ensure maximum yields for the plants.
After I'm finished spreading the fertilizer, I also take the time to clear the boundaries of the rice fields. I cut the weeds and small bushes growing around the boundaries with a machete. Clearing the boundaries is crucial for maintaining a tidy rice field and also makes it easier to maintain the plants later or during harvest time.
Afternoons in the rice fields always provide a calming atmosphere. The gentle breeze, the expanse of green rice plants, and the sounds of nature surrounding the fields ease fatigue. Simple activities like this actually make me feel closer to nature and more grateful for the work I get to do every day.
