My Actifit Report Card: January 26 2026

The morning began with the warmth of a hot cup of coffee, a constant companion before starting my day. After sipping it slowly and savoring its distinctive aroma, I immediately rushed to the rice fields. Three plots of rice paddies, already drying out from weeks without rain, awaited irrigation. The cracked soil and wilted seedlings made me realize that today was the perfect time to restore life there.
Irrigation began early in the morning, while the sun still gently shone on the newly planted young rice paddies. I slowly opened the water flow from the main channel, ensuring each plot received sufficient water. I couldn't rush it if the water flowed too fast, the seedlings could be washed away and damaged. Therefore, I had to constantly monitor the water flow, regulate the flow evenly, and ensure it reached the farthest plots.
This work continued until the afternoon. The scorching midday heat was no obstacle there was a special satisfaction in watching the water slowly seep into the previously dry and cracked soil. I also occasionally rested on the edge of the embankment, enjoying the gentle breeze from the rice paddies while gazing at the fruits of my labor that were beginning to appear: calm pools of water, rejuvenated seedlings, and the scent of wet earth that brought new hope.
Maintaining the flow of water in the rice paddies isn't just about irrigating the land, but also about maintaining balance between nature, hard work, and sincerity. As the sun began to set in the west and the water in each plot reached the right level, I felt a sense of relief. Today, the rice paddies were breathing again.
That afternoon, after finishing my work in the rice paddies, I took the time to visit the mung bean field. It turned out the plants were already bearing fruit, indicating that harvest time wouldn't be far off. However, I also noticed many weeds growing between the rows of plants, as I hadn't had time to tend them for some time. Nevertheless, seeing the small mung bean pods hanging from their stems gave me renewed motivation to clean up the field and restore it to its full potential for a full harvest.
