The Artificial Complements the Natural

For man to develop, he had to look at what he met (nature). Almost everything man has made was an idea born from Nature. The advances that man has achieved was majorly achieved by observing the happenings in nature.

For example, because man saw the birds flying, he decided to try and fly. Inorder to achieve this, he had to observe the birds carefully and copied the ways of the bird into a machine that would fly.

When we look at otherthings that man made, we see that it was majorly to complement nature and not necessarily to compete with it. The idea was to make life easier for himself and for others too. We see this in many aspects of life and technology

When we say that natural is the best, are we actually correct?

No, certainly not. It is not correct as a general statement but can be correct in specific instances. This is because some things that man made were after observing nature and deciding to improve upon living conditions.
Also there are some defects in nature that man tries to correct and in so doing, that which he designed becomes an improvement of what he met.

For example, in agriculture, trees needed a longer time to bear fruit and also needed to get too tall in the process but withe the intervention of man, it is no longer so.
In healthcare, a lot of people are born with one defect or the other requiring medical alterations to survive.
In transportation, the natural means would have been to trek or climb animals at best. How far would we have gone with such?

I believe that where nature works better than artificial, we need to follow it's lead but where the artificial supercedes, we should also embrace it and by so doing, our lives would be more holistic and comfortable.
For example, artificially processed foods are not as healthy as those grown in nature. They also carry some health risks. As such, it is better to eat healthy from nature.
Also our bodies and appearance, without defects, it is best to keep it the way nature made it otherwise we could create problems where there was none.

There's no need to change what is working well. Hence I don't think making alterations to a working body is a good idea.

There's no need to stick to using only natural things in our day to day life. I am sure that no body lives in a natural house or wears a natural clothing or moves about only on foot or animal, etc. There's a lot of artificial things that have come to stay and make our lives better. We need not discard them just because they are not natural.

Likewise there is no need to discard natural stuffs, they are also indispensable. Rather there should be a combined usage of both to achieve maximum effectiveness and ease in our lives.
