Well, good morning dear Friends in the Black And White Community 🙌📸

The photos in today's post were taken on New Year's Eve itself, when after celebrating in Karlovac, I went to the old town of Ozalj. I went down to Mrežnica, down to the railway and tracks that no longer lead anywhere, but are there for us, the photographers. Walking through Ozalj means stepping into a place where time seems to slow down, and every corner tells its own story. Beneath the magnificent walls of the Old Town of Ozalj, where once the hum of locomotives and the creak of wheels could be heard, today the tracks lie quietly overgrown with blackberries. And they are wonderful!

The old iron rails – once the lifeblood of life and connection – are now surrounded by lush nature. Blackberries have settled like green guardians between the sleepers and the rails, creating a new, atypical landscape. As you pass by them, you can almost hear the approaching train that will never pass this way again.

I took the photos with a Nikon D750, 50mm lens, f/1.8, manual mode, RAW format required, variable ISO and shutter speed. Processing in Photoshop Action-Black&White3
