The Legend of the Lady of Ribnik//MONOMAD CHALLENGE

Good morning dear Friends in the Black And White Community πŸ™ŒπŸ“Έ

And as I announced in yesterday's post about the Old Town of Ribnik, today I will start my post with a story/legend about it, I quote from a portal: "At the time when Ribnik was ruled by nobles, the castle was surrounded by water and dense forests. The story goes that a young noblewoman lived there, the daughter of one of the lords of the town. She was known for her beauty, but also for her stubbornness. She fell in love with a young man who was not of noble birth - supposedly a knight or a guard. Her father did not allow this relationship because he wanted a politically advantageous marriage. Therefore, the young man secretly came to the castle by boat, across the water that surrounded the fortress. One night, when the water was high and the fog was thick, he tried to cross the pond. The guard noticed him. In his attempt to escape, the boat capsized, and the young man disappeared into the water. It is said that the girl fell ill from grief and soon died. For centuries afterwards, the locals said that on foggy nights around the pond can be seen by a white silhouette standing against the walls, looking out at the waterβ€”waiting for a boat that will never return."

I can almost see them when I look at my photos, which we can look at together, but first

This is my entry for the #monomad challenge

Today, the castle is used for cultural events and manifestations, and is occasionally a filming location. It is located in a peaceful, rural setting, so it looks very authentically medieval.

I took the photos with a Nikon D750, 50mm lens, f/1.8, manual mode, RAW format required, variable ISO and shutter speed. Processing in Photoshop Action-Black&White3.

This is all for Today, see you soon!
