Romantic Middle Ages/2// MONOMAD CHALLENGE
Good Sunday dear people in a Black And White Community ππΈ
Today we move on, through the second part of the photos in the post about an event in my city that was held this summer called as the title of the post. It was very cool to see all those people dressed in medieval clothes.
So, let's go see together the second part, but first

In the Middle Ages, clothing was much more than protection from the cold β it was a symbol of status, wealth, and power.

Nobles and rulers wore fabrics of silk, velvet and brocade, often decorated with gold threads and precious stones. The colors had special significance β purple and royal blue were reserved for the highest nobility because they were the most expensive to produce.
On the other hand, the common people wore simpler clothes made of linen and wool, in earthy tones. The clothes were functional, not a fashion statement. Peasants often wore tunics and cloaks, and their footwear was made of rawhide.
Interestingly, fashion trends varied depending on the century and region β from long dresses with high belts in the early Middle Ages to luxurious court dresses and narrow sleeves in the late.

Regardless of social class, clothes back then said one thing: who you were and what world you belonged to. Just like today, right?

I took the photos with a Nikon D750, 50mm lens, f/1.8, manual mode, RAW format required, variable ISO and shutter speed. Processing in Photoshop Action-Black&White3
This is all for Today, see you Tomorrow
