A Day of Silent Remembrance - Part One

Good morning dear Friends and Photography Lovers

Today is All Saints' Day and today more than ever we remember our dear loved ones who are no longer with us, our friends and acquaintances who are no longer with us. Ours who left as old people, but also those who left us.... And they could have lived for years more...

All Saints' Day reminds us of the love, kindness, and light that our loved ones have left us.

Let us light a candle, pray, or simply pause for a moment — in silence, in thought, in gratitude.

May their light continue to shine through us.

With special gratitude and love, we remember all the known and unknown defenders who gave their lives in the war for our homeland Croatia.

"PALI STE ZA HRVATSKU, S HRVATSKOM ŽIVITE"

"YOU FELL FOR CROATIA, LIVE WITH CROATIA"

With special tenderness, love, pride and immense sadness, on this day I especially mourn my two Damirs, two huge hearts that still beat somewhere up there for me, for my entire family.

The first Damir is my dear husband, a biker.... A huge man in the truest sense of the word, a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. A wonderful friend.....

This motorcycle ... We worked so hard to find one detail to put on the monument ... And we found, in Germany, this wonderful ceramic motorcycle. I'm sure he drives it on the heavenly roads

The second Damir is my cousin whom you have already had the opportunity to meet through my posts about him. A huge man with a big heart, a sincere smile and love for all of us. A top jazz guitarist, an artist... But, first and foremost, my beloved brother who is missed so much for all his virtues, I miss his infectious laughter and cheerfulness, honesty and humanity the most.

This heart made of glass stones, I put together, and it is the heart that I can see and feel under my fingers when I visit his grave. In the center of the heart is his pick, which he used to pluck the strings of his beloved guitar.

And I'm sure he's strumming his guitar, so expertly, masterfully... Up there, with the angels, because he belongs to the angels now.

I took the photos with a Nikon D750, 50mm lens, f/1.8, manual mode, RAW format required, variable ISO and shutter speed. Processing in Photoshop, Camera Raw Filter

And, this is all for Today dear Friends, see You Tomorrow
