Goonies 2 is in production. It's a soft reboot where the a few old characters are the parents and it introduces new kids. Unfortunately I'm not joking

Damn, that sucks... We won't be seeing Chunk back since he's a talent lawyer in Beverly Hills now. It's just not going to do justice to the original, but someone is seeing dollar signs and greed always wins in the movie business... A sad day...
