This week for #FourTuneFriday on Nineties Friday I’m going full Nine Inch Nails band Spotlight! Picking a tune from all four releases from 1989-1999 + bonus tunes include other tracks not on NIN records but a soundtrack here & such!

First up it’s 1989! But the song I picked was released as an alternative rock radio single in 1990!

Third tune today is from the biggest NIN record. The album had a song go into heavy rotation on pop radio (Closer) but I choose a more fast heavy tune below.

Next up it’s the 1999 follow up to the album above and frankly I like the 1999 record even better! It’s underrated in my opinion. I had harder time picking which song should rep the album for this one then Any Others! 💿

I don’t know why, but Nine Inch Nails never really made it onto my playlist before. Which is strange, because I know Trent Reznor is incredibly cool!
I once heard a funny story. Back in the day at an art school, there was a painting lecturer who always brought a tape deck to class and played Genesis. One day, the lecturer stepped out for a moment, and a student swapped the Genesis tape for Nine Inch Nails.
The lecturer came back, turned off the deck, threw the cassette out, and went right back to playing Genesis…
