Some random & honest thoughts on the direction of Hive as a platform & community. It seems like a course to nowhere the way things are going. I just feel like if we care we should be honest and critical of what’s happening. At least in my humble opinion. There’s still time to correct this! We can’t be a delegation 4 upvote platform! We can’t keep printing this much Daily via DHF! It’s destroying us! accounts milking value while they crush this platform. It’s still a worthy cause here! Let’s turn this around! Or let’s just milk it into the ground like DHF is doing 🤷🏼♂️

Nothing but big old facts here man it's a shame, censorship resistance and decentralization was just part of the advertising not the actual offering 🤣 I totally agree. They want people to dox themselves when that goes at the core of the censorship. Somebody may come here because they can talk about their government or talk about things that they can't speak about elsewhere and they might want to protect their identity. But here we have. We will have somebody like hivewatchers come in and say oh hey no please dox yourself. And also like you said there's a bunch of assholes too that are going to be like. Oh I don't agree. I'm going to downvote like one thing is protecting the chain financially. Another thing is going after freedom of speech which is supposed to be what censorship resistance is or at least so I thought
It seems Hive isn’t as decentralized as it could be. Big Accounts are mainly driving the direction. Whereever that might be.
I am literally more active on Hive than I have ever been. Still love it and hope we get more people active again.
I’ve been more active too, psst year especially. It’s just getting depressing seeing one by one long term active people leave cold turkey….
Knowing Hive price will be much lower the next 18 months never made me wanna power down to save my value being cut in half, but mixed with all this nonsense I dunno. We’ll see. We can’t vote return proposal enough with whales colluding to support ridiculous things via DHF, it’s just sad., all that said I do love making my posts, but many are dropping lately and I’m making it for 3 people. I don’t mind that if it’s fun. But drama nonsense just makes me have to consider voting with all I can, selling all my stake. We’ll see !ALIVE !PIZZA !BBH
Thanks for the truth. You described the situation with Hive very well. A year and a half ago, I realized it was more profitable to hold HBD than HIVE, so that's what I did. I sold HIVE at $0.36 and staked HBD. Now I can buy HIVE at $0.18, which is 2.5 times more tokens. I'll probably wait until the HIVE price is $0.06 and buy 8-10 times more tokens.
I sold all my HBD in 2022 and bought bitcoin. It was smart move. Bitcoin up 700%. HBD not even a double. Personally I don’t like the risk. I had a very different tune b4, but I don’t like what I’m seeing with Hive lately.
Yes, that was the best option. I was afraid of a bear market in 2024, so I decided to buy the dollar.
I did too! I bought TBIL - Us Treasury 3 Month Bill Etf. So I was with ya. I too thought we’d see downturn by now.

I do my best in LOH to encourage and support our junior Hivers from pulling up stakes. It's more than just Hive value.

it’s quite crazy how ridiculous HW has got. Even more frustrating that the DHF pays for this harassment of 8 year old good accounts. I had no idea how bad it had got.
I just hope when we crash in 2026/2027 it wakes more people up to changes we just make.

It's part of the problem here on Hive. I don't think it will change because the whales control the direction on how things are done here. I do think it was kind of petty to talk about edits to posts, but I don't think that would add much to a post's value. Most people who wanted to vote probably already did on the first time it was posted.

I never eve. Thought of it. I just would do a price update edit on my market vlogs. I didn’t realize how bad it got with HW harassing good standing accounts. It’s almost like they want Hive to fail 🤷🏼♂️
I have tried to live my life with fun. I have quit countries, quit jobs because I am not having fun. When the fun stops I stop. At the moment there are enough people on Hive that I engage with and who engage with me that make it fun.
So I am still here for the community of Hivers that help make Hive fun for me. The price well I still say HIVE is an old alt and they will never recover.
The direction of Hive, there is nothing I can do about it, it is what it is and speaking bluntly just gets you committing Hive suicide. I very nearly powered down everything a few months ago but thought no I still friends here so no I am not going.
