These days, I've had to go to an unfamiliar part of Havana for work—Playa. Since I live in Santo Suárez, the route is complicated, but I finally found one that works for me and isn’t too expensive:
1.Catch any transportation that takes me to Ciudad Deportiva.

  1. Go to the tricycle stop.
  2. Get a tricycle to take me to the Iron Bridge.
  3. Cross it and walk.

From what I’ve been told, the bridge crosses the Almendares River, which doesn’t look as terribly polluted as native Habaneros claim.
Has something been done recently to clean the river 👀?

Though I’m not sure I’d dare to eat what those gentlemen are fishing there 🤣

The Almendares and Havana Bay Cleanup Project has been underway for years, but the results will be seen in the long term if we manage to stop further pollution.

Thank you for sharing these photographs that exude the aroma of the capital and its small, great details!
