Home and away
I'm away from home again, a few thousand kilometres away, on the East coast of Australia. It's a nice place, not too busy with a population in the greater urban area of only about 470,000 or so. I've been here since Wednesday last week and will fly back out on Tuesday...a reasonable time but it's ok, there's a lot going on at work and I'm pretty focused on that and I'll have some time to take a look around the place as well. So, it's not all bad...although I'd rather be home with my girl and my cat Cleo...or have them here with me.
So this week, I figured I'd do some tracks based around being home, away and travelling, just because I can. If you want to take a listen go ahead and if you do not, then do not; either way, they're all tracks I love, all on my Spotify playlists.

Composing songs born from genuine feeling, from the strength and reflections that come from our state of mind, will surely allow you to create successful works because they address aspects of life that we all experience at some point. Are you near the Gold Coast? Never been to Australia. A few years ago in Vegas we made friends with Australians who live near Brisbane. We ended up dancing with them all night, good people!
I'll be in Brisbane in a few weeks working, at the moment in the Sydney area, but not Sydney and I live down south, Adelaide. The Gold Coast is below Brisbane, so a long way from where I live.

Gentle on my mind and learning to fly for me are "being home" musics, they have energy and good vibes, that's what you usually got at home, but the other 4 I can't really place them on the other categories, maybe 'home' suits for being away

We regularly play Tom Petty in the Jamsessions, but usually "Free Falling" - it's one of the most boring songs to play as a bassist, but at least the guitarist enjoys it quite much. Learning How To Fly is on of my other favorite of theirs.
Foo Fighters is almost always a good choice. Sounds like a solid playlist you got there! Hope the stay is going well, and that you'll be home, soon :-)
