It's Chirsmas sweater time (Show me yours)

13 days to go before Christmas! That means it is finally time to dig out the Christmas sweaters and start wearing them.

Each year, I add one to the collection. It’s not a hoarder's collection, though; when one gets worn down, I get rid of it. I also suspect that the misses washed a few of them too hot, and as a result, they shrank. It is simply not possible that I outgrew them...

I am usually not the kind of guy to go for the "ugly" ones, though opinions may differ. Since I also wear them at work, they need to have the Christmas spirit without offending anyone.

The new one

Normally I prefer darker colors, but the colors of Christmas are red and green. So, I chose the red version instead of the dark blue this time. For those who don't understand Flemish/Dutch (I assume not a lot of my readers do), the text actually says "Happy Easter"—but in Dutch.

Last years addition

Well what can I say, I love beer. So why not combine this with the Christmas spirit.

The very first one

The very first one was a more classic Christmas Sweater. I had to ditch it 2 years ago, but it served me well for over 4 years. Not too bad. And yes I also drink wine but only dry white ones.

Rock & Roll

I am definitely not a "Rock & Roll" type of guy. But for some reason, I added this to the collection anyway. This is the one that definitely shrank—at least, that is what I tell myself! :) . This one has been passed to the oldest sun, who wears it at home during the complete year. And he for sure isn't a Rock & Roll fan. Strange!

The most important one

There is nothing more important than sharing something with the kids. Both my sons had the same sweater. When I found this picture, I could only conclude two things: The youngest has grown a lot, and I am getting older! There is nothing I can do about that. I still have it in my collection and will wear it this year, if it still fits.

So what about you?

Do you have a Christmas sweater tradition? Do you have a collection? And do you also wear them to work? Show me the good, the bad and the ugly.

Cheers, Peter

I actually own zero ugly sweaters, but my wife has a few. Actually, if you ask her, I used to own a fair number of ugly sweaters, but none of them were Christmas themed. She just thought they were ugly!

:)
Due to my age, my wife doesn't find it okay anymore if I do wear a hoody!
Really liked those.

Oh no? I am wearing a hoody right now in my office! I wear on pretty much every Friday at work in the winter.
