Hello, my dear fellow Praetorians.
Not wanting to be left behind, this week I'll give you an update on my epic Rewards.
Rewards
Previously, I mentioned that I was only focusing on getting common and rare cards. I wanted to build a solid foundation, but recently I realized that I didn't get all the copies in the previous sets. I don't want to make the same mistake again, so I'm going to slowly add some epic cards to the set.
I bought the epic packs separately, so you'll see what I got and my opinion on that epic.
First epic draw:
Tandi Janda is an Ulund of the earth element: For her mana cost, she has good melee attack power and her ability specializes in flying enemies. Level 2 catches my attention because of its increase in speed and the ability to slow down all of the opponent's units.
As she belongs to the Ulund lineage, apart from the earth element, I can use Tandi with the life archon Bella Ratajowlski.
Second epic draw:
The dragon element djinn Kazira Vaelstrik: It has a ranged attack, but what catches my attention are its abilities: Immunity and Flying. It is the first warrior I have in this set with the Immunity ability. My goal with this warrior is to get it to level 3. To compensate for its attack type with the Close Range ability, I know that it will be a great warrior and very useful.
Battle
To the new warriors I've added to my battle deck in Modern and tournaments, I've already used them in battle. I'll share the link to both battles, but in this post I'll only talk about one of them; I don't want the post to be too long.
Now I'll tell you about the Link 1 battle.
A battle where you could choose from almost all the elements, with a good amount of mana to distribute among the warriors. The important part was the modifiers or battle rules.

Before starting to select my battle formation, I observed my opponent's latest formations. Since my opponent had a tendency to use a specific archon, I decided to use the archon Bella Ratajowlski and the following formation.

When using Bella, I thought about the benefit of her Deflect ability for all warriors, and at the same time, having several Ulunds would give them the Shield ability that reduces damage.
Moribund, in last position, was the expendable option in battle; he would fall to an enemy attack or the effect of Calamity's weakness, but either way, he would strengthen the members of his lineage.
Round 1: My opponent used Tofu, so I was right to use Bella and protect my melee fighters from the spikes.
My opponent's first attacks on my formation were aimed at:
- My first Doomshield warrior, but I expected him to withstand several attacks.
- Moribund in the last position, I expected him to be defeated and my remaining Ullund warriors to benefit from his defeat.
My team's attacks were directed at:
The taunting warrior in the first position, who gained one health point for each warrior defeated and was backed up by two warriors who could heal him.
My Tandi Janda warrior focused on hunting down my opponent's warrior.
We both lost a warrior in this round.
Round 2: The effect of Calamity's weakness causes me to lose Doomshield.
My opponent's attacks on my formation were aimed at:
- Tandi was weakened by several attacks and ended the round with low vitality. The Shield ability allowed him to nullify one attack.
My team's attacks were aimed at:
- Tandi finished off the flying warrior alongside his companions.
- Blackmoor was the next target and was left severely weakened.
We both lost a warrior in this round.
Round 3: As in the previous round, I lost another warrior due to Calamity's weakness effect; this round, Tandi fell.
My opponent's attacks on my formation were as follows:
- Pixie-knife Hurler would move to the front position and withstand the attacks of the three warriors.
My team's attacks were directed at:
- Calamity would attack Blackmoor and defeat her in this round.
- Pixie-knife and Calabash Sage would attack and defeat Meriput Magician.
In this round, I take the lead.
Round 4: Pixie-knife would withstand the weakness effect, but would be left very weak.
My opponent's attacks on my formation were aimed at:
- Janni Rebel would defeat my Pixie-knife.
My team's attacks were aimed at:
- Pixie-knife, Calamity, and Calabash attacked Satha Toledo; although she healed after the first attack, the remaining attacks defeated her.
Round 5: None of my warriors fell due to the weakness effect.
Janni attacked Calamity, but the damage no longer mattered; she didn't have enough power to defeat him.
Calamity would attack this last warrior, and Calabash would finish the job by defeating her.
This resulted in the victory of my beloved Bella over the spiky cat Tofu.
Thoughts
The two epics I'm adding to my deck are interesting; depending on the battle, they can be very helpful in achieving victory. I still have the task of leveling them up to better exploit their power.
I brought you two battles so you can explore some of the aspects that led me to victory. But above all, the one I shared with you step by step is important for several reasons.
The first is to observe the formations used by the opponent and try to predict which one they would use in battle. This is in order to counteract it.
The second is based on the battle rules; I can get an idea of why my opponent used a warrior with the provoke ability (he was counting on gaining life and being able to heal him with his two warriors), but it's risky to use him knowing that he would take double damage with each attack.
It's something to think about carefully before forming the team you'll go into battle with. Think carefully about the effect of the rules and/or modifiers.

Los sorteos épicos los compré por separado, entonces irán viendo lo que conseguí y mi opinión sobre esa épica.
Primer sorteo épico:
Tandi Janda es un Ulund del elemento tierra: Para su costo de mana, tiene un buen poder de ataque melee y su habilidad se especializa en los enemigos voladores. Me llama la atención el nivel 2, por su aumento en la velocidad y la habilidad de disminuir la velocidad de todas las unidades del oponente.
Al pertenecer al linaje Ulund, aparte del elemento tierra, puedo usar a Tandi con el arconte de vida Bella Ratajowlski.
Segundo sorteo épico:
El djinn Kazira Vaelstrik del elemento dragón: Posee un ataque a distancia, pero lo que me llama la atención son sus habilidades: Inmunidad y volador; es el primer guerrero que tengo en este set con la habilidad inmunidad. Mi meta con este guerrero es llevarlo al nivel 3; para compensar su tipo de ataque con la habilidad Alcance cercano, sé que con eso será un gran guerrero y muy útil.
Batalla
A los nuevos guerreros que sume a mi mazo de batalla en Modern y en torneos, ya los he usado en batalla. Les compartiré el enlace de ambas batallas, pero en esta publicación solo hablaré de una de ellas; no quiero que sea tan extensa la publicación.
Ahora les hablaré de la batalla del Link 1.
Una batalla donde se podía elegir entre casi todos los elementos, una buena cantidad de maná para distribuir entre los guerreros. La parte importante eran los modificadores o reglas de batalla.

Los ataques de mi oponente hacia mi formación fueron para:
- Janni Rebel derrotaría a mi Pixie-knife.
Los ataques de mi equipo fueron hacia:
- Pixie-knife, Calamity y Calabash atacaron a Satha Toledo; aunque después del primer ataque se curó, los ataques restantes la derrotaron.
Round 5: Ninguno de mis guerreros cayó por el efecto de debilidad.
Janni atacó a Calamity, pero ya no importaría el daño; no tenía el poder suficiente para derrotarlo.
Calamity atacaría a esta última guerrera y Calabash terminaría el trabajo derrotándola.
Resultando en la victoria de mi querida Bella sobre el gato espinoso Tofu.
Pensamientos
Las dos épicas que sumo a mi mazo son interesantes; dependiendo de la batalla, pueden ayudar mucho para obtener la victoria. Me queda el trabajito de subirlas de nivel, para explotar de una mejor manera su poder.
Les traje dos batallas, para que exploren un poco los aspectos que me llevaron a la victoria. Pero sobre todo la que les compartí paso a paso, es importante por varios motivos.
El primero es el de observar las formaciones que ha usado el oponente e intentar predecir cuál usaría en la batalla. Esto con el fin de contrarrestarlo.
El segundo es en base a las reglas de batalla; puedo tener una idea de por qué mi oponente usó a un guerrero con la habilidad de provocar (contaba con que ganaría vida y podía curarlo con sus dos guerreros), pero es un riesgo usarlo sabiendo que iba a recibir el doble de daño con cada ataque.
Es algo para pensar bien antes de formar el equipo con el que irás a batalla. Piensa bien el efecto que tienen las reglas y/o modificadores.
