Mugen Gacha- Anime review (ENG-ESP)

A few days ago, I watched an anime called Mugen Gacha, whose original title is My Gift Lvl 9999 Unlimited Gacha, which is even longer. This is an adaptation of Shisui Meikyō's light novel. I must say that the anime didn't really grab my attention, but I found it somewhat similar to the story of Solo Leveing and decided to give it a try to see how it was. The reality ended up being abysmal, but I still decided to share my opinion with you. Normally, many people tend to review animated series that they like or at least find entertaining, but it doesn't always have to be that way. We can also give our opinions on those anime that may not meet our expectations. My posts are reviews where I give my personal opinion based on my experience and not a professional critique, as people can have different points of view.

The story of the anime tells us about Light, a young human who finds himself in a world of adventurers, among elves, dwarves, and other creatures who are ready to fight for rewards. This anime has a more medieval story, unlike Solo Leving, where the plot takes place in a world similar to our own. Our protagonist joins a group that goes to a dungeon, but he is betrayed because he is human and his power is not great, or at least that is what they believe. He is thrown into the abyss, where he thought it would be the end for him, but he had a hidden power that would make him the most powerful character in history, with a power of 9999, which no human could ever achieve. Light was a good young man who trusted his comrades, but the betrayal caused a noticeable change in his personality, and he decided to take revenge on everyone.

Ligh arrived at what was considered in history to be the most lethal dungeon in all of anime, where no one survived, so everyone believed that he was dead and that his secret was hidden. But Ligh awakened a hidden power called the Unlimited Gacha. This ability allowed the protagonist of the story to summon strong characters with a maximum power of 9999, even less, but much stronger than those who formed the different groups that fought the demons. Ligh formed an invincible army, but what I liked most is that our character did not limit himself to his allies, but trained to become stronger himself. It's a story that can be quite interesting, nothing innovative, but it does serve to have a good time. The anime consists of a total of 12 episodes, and I forgot to mention that it premiered on October 3, 2025, under the direction of Katsushi Sakurabi, with Hiroshi Ōnogi as the screenwriter and Yukie Suzuki as the character designer.

Hace unos días me vi un anime llamado Mugen Gacha, cuyo título original es My Gift Lvl 9999 Unlimited Gacha, incluso es mucho más largo. Esta es una adaptación de la novela ligera de Shisui Meikyō. Debo decir que el anime no llamó mi atención, simplemente le encontré cierto parecido a la historia de Solo Leveing y decidió darle una oportunidad para ver que tal. La realidad terminó siendo abismal, pero aun así decidí traerles mi opinión. Normalmente, muchas personas suelen hacer revisiones sobre series animadas que les gusta o al menos sean entretenidas, pero también no siempre debe ser así, también podemos dar nuestras opiniones sobre aquellos animes que tal vez no cumplan nuestras expectativas. Mis publicaciones son reseñas donde soy una opinión personal de acuerdo a mi experiencia y no una crítica profesional, pues las personas podemos tener diferentes puntos de vista.

La historia del anime nos habla sobre Light un joven humano quien se encuentra en un mundo de aventureros, entre elfos, enanos y otras criaturas que se disponen a pelear para obtener recompensas. Este anime tiene una historia más medieval, a diferencia de Solo Leving donde la trama se desarrolla en un mundo como el actual. Pues nuestro protagonista se une a un grupo donde van a una mazmorra, pero este es traicionado, pues era un humano y su poder no era grande o al menos eso creían. Este es arrojado al abismo, donde creía que sería su final, pero tenía un poder oculto que lo convertiría en el personaje más poderoso de la historia, con un poder de 9999, que nunca un humano podría alcanzar. Light era un joven bueno, donde confiaba en sus camaradas, pero con la traición dio un cambio notable en su personalidad, decidiendo vengarse de todos.

Ligh llegó a lo que era considerado en la historia, como la mazmorra más letal de todo el anime, donde nadie sobrevivía, por lo que todos creían que este estaba muerto y que su secreto estaba oculto. Pero, Ligh despertó un poder oculto llamado el Gacha Ilimitado. Esta habilidad lo que le permitía al prota de la historia era invocar a personajes fuertes con un poder máximo de 9999, incluso menos, pero bastante más fuertes que los que formaban los diferentes grupos que peleaban con los demonios. Ligh formó un ejército invencible, pero lo que más me gustó es que nuestro personaje no solo se limitó en sus aliados, sino que entrenó para él también volverse más fuerte. Una Historia que puede ser bastante interesante, nada innovador, pero sí que sirve para pasar un buen rato. El anime consta de un total de 12 capítulos y se me paso por alto mencionarles que se estrenó el 3 de octubre de 2025, bajo la dirección de Katsushi Sakurabi, con Hiroshi Ōnogi como el guionista y Yukie Suzuki en el diseño de los personajes.

Mugen Gacha has a pretty cliché story. I found it on Web 2.0, thought it looked interesting, and believed it would be as good as Solo Leving, but the reality turned out to be quite different. I didn't really connect with the story that much. It wasn't a disaster, but Solo Leving was an anime that captured my attention from beginning to end in its two seasons, and I honestly don't know if I'll watch the second installment of this production. I found the episodes quite tedious, with often more dialogue than action. It does have its good points, not everything is negative, but overall the plot is quite weak, at least in my personal opinion. Our protagonist is strong, he has no rival, and there are some pretty funny characters that add a touch of humor to the story, which is appreciated, but a lot of the way the story ended up playing out was predictable. The latter isn't a problem at all. The main reason I didn't connect with it is that I wanted more action, more character development, and to learn more about their stories, even our protagonist's.

Visually speaking, I thought the character designs and animation were great. J.C. STAFF was the studio in charge of the animation. I really liked the color palette used, our characters are quite colorful, which really catches the eye. As for the animation in the fights, I think the visual effects are up to par, every time one of our characters activates a skill, in hand-to-hand combat, when casting spells, and more. Mugen Gacha is an anime that visually lives up to expectations and met my expectations. The soundtrack was composed by Ryō Takahashi. I liked the song “Sen Yori Kaminari Ya, Sarariya Takaki” performed by Tei at the beginning of the anime. The background music played at different moments throughout the anime is also good. This is an anime that meets expectations in the two aspects mentioned above. It may not be exceptional or the best, but they did a good job.

Mugen Gacha tiene una historia bastante cliché, me conseguí su historia en la web 2.0, me pareció interesante y creí ser tan buena como Solo Leving, pero la realidad terminó siendo otra. Realmente no conecté tanto con la historia, no era un desastre, pero Solo Leving fue un anime que captó mi atención de principio a fin en sus dos temporadas y la verdad es que no sé si me vea la segunda entrega de esta producción. Los episodios se me hicieron bastante tediosos, muchas veces más diálogos que acción. Sí que tiene sus cosas buenas, no todo es negativo, pero en general la trama está bastante deficiente, al menos es mi opinión personal. Nuestro protagonista es fuerte, no tiene rival, posee personajes bastante divertidos que le da un toque de humor a la historia, lo cual se agradece, pero mucha de las cosas como se terminó definiendo la historia fueron predecible. Esto último para nada es un problema, la principal razón de que no conecté es que me falto más acción, más desarrollo de los personajes y conocer más de sus historias, incluso de nuestro protagonista.

En cuanto a lo visual se refiere, los diseños de los personajes y la animación fue grandiosa desde mi opinión personal. J.C. STAFF fue el estudio encargado de la animación. Me gustó bastante la paleta de colores usados, nuestros personajes bastante coloridos, lo que llama poderosamente la atención. En cuanto a la animación en las peleas, pues los efectos visuales me parecen que están a la altura, cada vez que se activa una habilidad de nuestros personajes, en las batallas cuerpo a cuerpo, en los lanzamientos de hechizos y más. Mugen Gacha es un anime que visualmente está a la altura de lo esperado, cumplió con mis expectativas. En lo que respecta a la banda sonora, estuvo a cargo de Ryō Takahashi. La composición “Sen Yori Kaminari Ya, Sarariya Takaki” interpretado por Tei del inicio del anime me gustó. En lo que respecta los temas mostrados de fondos en los diferentes momentos de anime, cumplen. Un anime cuyo dos aspectos mencionados anteriormente, cumple con lo esperado. Tal vez no sea excepcional, lo mejor, pero hicieron un buen trabajo.

Mugen Gacha is an anime that tells us about revenge, resilience in the face of betrayal, and the search for justice, showing how despair can be transformed into strength and leadership. An anime whose story had some potential, it's not that bad, but it didn't quite convince me for the reasons I already mentioned. Ligh's ultimate goal is to liberate humans from the abuse of others, who, because they do not have much power, are taken advantage of, even enslaved by the races that dominate the universe of Mugen Gacha. I don't know if there will be a second season, I'm not sure, it all depends on its success, but there is nothing to say that there won't be a second season of the anime. Anyway, we'll see...

Mugen Gacha es un anime que nos habla de la venganza, la resiliencia frente a la traición y la búsqueda de justicia, mostrando cómo la desesperación puede transformarse en fuerza y liderazgo. Un anime cuya historia tenía cierto potencial, no está tan mal, pero no me terminó de convencer de un todo por las razones que ya les mencioné. El objetivo final de Ligh es liberal a los humanos de los maltratos de las demás, quienes por no poseer mucho poder, los demás se aprovechan, incluso esclavizan a los humanos, aquellas razas que dominan en el universo de Mugen Gacha. La verdad que no sé si salga una segunda temporada, no lo tengo muy seguro, todo depende del éxito, pero hay algo que no dice que no habrá una segunda temporada del anime. Igual, veremos...
