Hace un tiempo logré adquirir este videojuego porque en la plataforma Steam había todo en oferta, creo que un 75%, si mal no recuerdo me salió en un poco más de 10 $. Si tienes tiempo siguiendo mis contenidos, sabrás que soy muy fanático de los juegos de carreras, pero por diversas razones tenía varios años que no probaba el juego. Ahora, con mi nuevo setup gamer, tengo la oportunidad de hacerlo de vez en cuando y luego de varios días de pruebas, les voy a dar una reseña.

Some time ago I managed to acquire this video game because on the Steam platform was all on sale, I think 75%, if I remember correctly I got it for a little more than 10 $. Now, with my new gamer setup, I have the opportunity to do it from time to time and after several days of testing, I will give you a review.

El juego tiene varios modos de juegos, en lo que destacan el modo profesional donde encontramos sub modos donde están mi carrera como piloto profesional y mi equipo como los principales. El primero no es más que un modo campeonato donde podemos configurar las diferentes opciones de juego, como la dificultad de la IA, las ayudas, los formatos de fin de semana, el número de carreras, entre otras cosas más. Creo que este modo es el más completo, pues nos da la opción de incluso comenzar en la F2, escalar y llegar a la F1 con un equipo modesto e ir escalando hasta un equipo de mayor renombre como lo es Red Bull, Ferrari, McLaren y Mercedes.

Dedo decir que eso de poder jugar con un piloto de F2 es interesante, aunque debo aclarar que no es todo el campeonato, a penas algunas carreras y de allí te contrata un equipo, normalmente del fondo de la parrilla como Sauber, Williams y Haas. Yo me salté de correr en la segunda categoría, pues me interesaba correr en la categoría reina y elegí al equipo Ferrari y al piloto monegasco, Charles Leclerc. Elegí la configuración predeterminada, con un fin de semana largo de tres prácticas libres, la clasificación y la carrera, pero recortada. También podemos seleccionar el fin de semana largo como simulado el campeonato de la Fórmula 1. El más corto fue él idea para ir probando y poder compartir mi opinión. Lo que más me gusta de este modo es la cinemática, donde tenemos a una especie de manager o alguien que nos hace firmar el contrato en Mónaco, donde nos dan una introducción de lo que esperan de nosotros. La primordial es ganarle a nuestro compañero e ir ganando experiencia y mejoras en el coche.

I skipped racing in the second category, because I was interested in racing in the premier class and I chose the Ferrari team and the Monegasque driver, Charles Leclerc. I chose the default configuration, with a long weekend of three free practices, qualifying and the race, but shortened. We can also select the long weekend as simulated the Formula 1 championship. The shorter one was the idea to test it and share my opinion. What I like most about this mode is the cinematic, where we have a kind of manager or someone who makes us sign the contract in Monaco, where they give us an introduction of what they expect from us. Finalmente, se da comienzo a la temporada de la Fórmula 1 en Baréin, tal cual el calendario oficial de la categoría de esta temporada. Este es uno de mis circuitos preferidos, con trazado con mucha carga aerodinámica, curvas lentas y rápidos, donde en varias cosas se debe frenar bruscamente. En este Gran premio tan solo hice una práctica libre, creo que fue suficiente para tener una idea de lo que era este videojuego. En el garaje tiene varias opciones, donde vemos la clasificación de la sesión, la estrategia de la carrera donde apreciamos que nos espera en lo que a la meteorología se refiere.

This is one of my favorite circuits, with a track with a lot of downforce, slow and fast corners, where in several things you have to brake sharply. In this Grand Prix I only did a free practice, I think it was enough to get an idea of what this video game was. In the garage you have several options, where we see the classification of the session, the race strategy where we appreciate what awaits us as far as the weather is concerned.

También debemos elegir los neumáticos a usar donde debemos gestionar la cantidad, pues estos son limitados y debemos tener para las prácticas, clasificación y carrera. En lo que respecto a la puesta a punto del coche, es una zona importante, pues aquí podemos retocar los valores de las diferentes partes del coche de acuerdo a los circuitos. Esto me parece genial, pues aparte de pilotos, también nos sentimos ingenieros de carreras. Para muchos todas estas opciones pueden ser tediosas, pero luego de un tiempo nos acostumbramos, además que se supone que la mayor parte de los jugadores, son amantes del deporte motor y una pequeña porción, son jugadores casuales.

Ahora es el menor de hablarles de los diferentes aspectos del juego. En cuanto a contenido, creo que F1 2024 está bastante, aunque en comparación a otros años, el juego dio un retroceso abismal. Pero para aquellos que tiene tiempo sin jugar o es la primera vez, está más que bien. La jugabilidad del juego pienso que cumple, pues sabemos que Codemaster y EA Sports quiere que estos juegos sean una combinación entre arcade y simulador, aunque el juego es claramente más arcade con la finalidad de llegar a más público y no solo los amantes del simracing. Las físicas cumplen con su cometido, la conducción está bastante bien aunque hay mucho que mejorar. Yo juego con mando, pues actualmente no tengo para un volante, por lo que debo usar la mayor parte de las ayudas, ya que es complicado sin estas. Claro que todo depende de la práctica y creo que poco a poco se pueden ir retirando. Lo que más me impresiona de la jugabilidad es el desgaste de las llantas, gestionar de no sobrecalentarlas, gestionar el combustible, la energía eléctrica, todo esto durante la carrera, tal cual hacen los pilotos en la vida real.

The physics do their job, driving is pretty good but there is much room for improvement. I play with a controller, because currently I do not have a steering wheel, so I have to use most of the aids, as it is complicated without them. Of course it all depends on practice and I think that little by little they can be removed. What impresses me most about the gameplay is the wear of the tires, managing not to overheat them, managing fuel, electrical energy, all this during the race, just like drivers do in real life.

El pilotar en el juego debemos buscar, sacar el mayor provecho de cada parte del circuito, sin exceder los límites y en muchos casos evitar los pianos porque pueden causar un trompo. En lo que respecta a la inteligencia artificial, tuve que ponerla al 75%, pues al 100 no se puede, tengo que ser más rápido. Lo máximo del nivel de la IA es de 110%, pero estos en las rectas vuelan. Creo que la IA debe mejorar notablemente, pero en general se puede decir que cumple y es divertido ver como algunos maniobras no la esperamos. Gráficamente, el juego es una pasada, en comparación a la última vez que jugué. Claro que con mi RTX 2050 no le puede exprimir toda la capacidad a lo visual del juego, tengo que jugar en alta para tener un rendimiento decente. Los circuitos geniales, aunque varios no son como la realidad, los exteriores, el público, los efectos visuales y las cinemáticas, son una pasada, aunque algunos diseños de personas no me gustan de un todo, pero en general está más que bien.

Graphically, the game is a blast, compared to the last time I played. Of course with my RTX 2050 can not squeeze the full capacity to the visuals of the game, I have to play on high to have a decent performance. The circuits are great, although several are not like reality, the exteriors, the public, the visual effects and the cinematics, are great, although some designs of people I do not like a whole, but overall it's more than fine.

Esta última es confusa, pues a veces me dice que no se escucha, no sé si es el micrófono o error del juego. Aparte de esto último mencionado, creo que el sonido estuvo al nivel de lo esperado.

The latter is confusing, because sometimes it tells me that it is not heard, I do not know if it is the microphone or game error. Apart from the latter mentioned, I think the sound was at the expected level.

El juego de F1 2024 está bastante bien. Claro que comparada con otros años es de las peores versiones que encontramos de la saga, pues esta tiene muchos bugs, aunque se han ido mejorando a lo largo del tiempo. También varias critican la conducción, la IA, pero entiendo que también quieren llegar a más público y no solo a los simracing, aquellos que les gustan los juegos de simulaciones de carrera, para eso está iracing y otros simuladores más. El juego tiene varios contenidos, lo que nos puede dar horas de diversión, misiones durante la carrera, el modo carrera profesional, mi equipo donde gestionamos nuestra propia escudería, aunque aquí somos también el piloto por lo que podremos correr carreras. F1 2024 no es el juego perfecto, aunque tengo que seguir probándolo, esto a penas es una primera impresión.

Also several criticize the driving, the AI, but I understand that they also want to reach more audience and not just simracing, those who like racing simulation games, for that there is iracing and other simulators more. The game has several contents, which can give us hours of fun, missions during the race, the professional career mode, my team where we manage our own team, although here we are also the pilot so we can run races. F1 2024 is not the perfect game, although I have to keep testing it, this is just a first impression.
