Photo Essay - Pink Contest

avatar

A few days ago, I saw a post by my friend bitcoinman referring to this community and, above all, to this great contest, a very interesting initiative for those of us who love photography and, above all, digital creation, as well as the participation of my friend Melinda, so I decided to take part in this wonderful initiative.

***I mainly made a summary of the images to be represented, combining them all into one and thus creating this interesting team, which I hope will catch your attention and encourage you to open the post.***

From the countless things I have observed about the color pink and its different shades, it was very easy for me to choose a few, but I think these are my favorites because they are images that represent moments in my life that have been important or at least have left a mark on me. Without further ado, here is the first image.

First, I would like to present this graffiti, which I created about three or four years ago. It is pink graffiti, and it is quite significant to me because it was the first one I made after many years away from my hometown. When I returned, I saw that everything related to the underground culture or hip hop culture that I am so passionate about was completely extinct. There was no trace of our skateboarding, hip hop, or graffiti movement, so this image is quite significant to me given the rules of the contest. or graffiti. So this image is quite meaningful to me. Looking at the contest rules, I found it a bit interesting because there are several rules, and I hope this image is sufficient and meets the objective of this contest.

  • This second image is a little closer to what we commonly see here in the community.

This second image contains some flowers that are in my backyard. There are different plants that bloom in this pink color, but due to the heavy rains we've had recently, some of them haven't fully bloomed, which is why they have this slightly dull color. However, we can see the difference between some of them, as some lean toward a strong pink color and others toward a very pale pink. I decided to combine all the images into one so as not to take up too much space in the post and to be able to present all the elements of this color.

  • This is the Pink Color.

This post was going to be based on a drawing I planned to do in pink, but when I picked up my pink marker, I realized that it no longer wrote and was completely dry. Then I remembered that the contest requires five different items to be submitted, so I realized that a drawing done in this color would not be enough. However, the photograph of the damaged marker can be submitted as another photograph of a pink item.

  • Hand Made.

I'm sure you were expecting to see pink flowers, but I'm sure you didn't imagine anything like this. Here I present a piece of work made by my mother, who is a great artist when it comes to knitting, as she does it with great passion, and I believe she has a spectacular talent for this type of work. As you can see, this is the cover of a cushion that I have on a piece of furniture in my house, and as I said, it was made by my mother, so I keep it and I really believe that I will never take it off, unless it is just to wash it, as well as being a decorative piece. , it is something that keeps my mother's connection to the house alive, as many of us know that there is a big difference between a house and a home.

  • And we saved the best for last.

My mom and her pink shirt are the stars of this creation. She is the reason for my existence, and I am eternally grateful to her for my life. I cannot describe her with simple words. I am sure I would have to write an entire post, and even then, I would fall short in describing her as a person. I have a respect and admiration for her that makes me try to be a little better every day and is my main motivation for living this life, far from romanticism. and sentimentality that talking about my mother in this photograph produces in me, as I share her pink color as the fifth and final element for this contest. The photograph was taken about three years ago while traveling with her from the state of Monagas to the state of Zulia on a trip that presented itself to us, and we didn't think twice since it was an opportunity to share Christmas with my daughters, as we did three years ago. The photograph was taken at the terminal station while we were waiting for a bus to return home. It was a very emotional Christmas, which I may talk about in a future post.

And that's all I can share for now. I hope you enjoy participating in this great contest, and I hope you will join us and become part of this great family, not only of the contest community but of the blockchain community in general.
