Unforgettable GlueSplashed Experience

The world is indeed a place of happenings, both pleasant and unpleasant events but it is what it is. There are so many moments we might forget easily, while others stay etched in our hearts for a long time. A moment I experienced firsthand with glue splashing on my eyes, it was as if I had lost my sight that day.

On this faithful day, it was close to the time that I was supposed to jingle the bell to indicate the close of lunchtime. I was already preparing to head to the staff room to take the bell so I could jingle when I suddenly felt a stiffness in my right eye. At last, it was super glue that splashed on it. I got so restless and started panicking but one of my classmates immediately pulled me and started pouring water from her bottle on the eye.

I was still panicking, and there was already so much noise in my class; then someone suddenly suggested I should be taken to the school infirmary, but the person who splashed the glue on me immediately started begging because she didn't want to get punished for that. I wasn't paying attention to all these at that moment, I was still worried about the fact that I could end up with an eye.

After pouring a lot of water on the eye, the girl then focused on separating the lashes that had glued together, rendering the eye shut. After what seemed like hours, I was able to open my right eye, and I went to jingle the bell but was still feeling a sting in my eye. When I got back to my classroom, the girl who splashed the glue on my eye immediately sat beside me and started begging me claiming she didn't mean to I just said "It's fine" and was praying silently that no sign of reaction or side effects should come up on my face because I have a skin that reacts to any little change. I got home, and it was only my elder brother who noticed my slightly red eye; I explained what had happened to me.

That experience of nearly losing one of my eyes is so stuck in my heart,d and that left a trauma of despising super glue so much. I tremble whenever I see a particular brand of glue, I'm always careful around my eyes.
