Turkey, Rain, Spokane Bike Swap, PDC, 3DP, Phone Holder, Fire, Grilling, Pain - Saturday
My hips are insanely sore which made sleeping harder since I woke up a number of times in pain yesterday. I was up a bit later than normal and when I walked out to the living room I saw this wild turkey hen in the yard. Every so often we get one that hangs out with our birds for a bit before roaming back off into the wilds.
It was sprinkling already and I didn't know it was inbound so had a few things to go out and cover before the rain really hit.
The entire morning was grey and wet.
We all loaded up in the car and headed to the fairgrounds for the bike swap. J needed a new bike and both @stryeyz and myself needed an upgrade. We managed to finally wind our way to the bikes and I found one right away for J that fits him perfectly. A nice Schwinn 21 speed.
Then we found @stryeyz bike... it was $1 for the Huffy. I got the GT in the back since my old bike is 30+ years old and pretty beat. It took a while to get out the checkout line then I waited with the bikes while the boys got free helmets. R is getting J's old mountain bike and it fits him perfectly now.
We walked out into the still falling rain but it was nearing the end. I managed to fit all 3 bikes in the back of the car with only taking the front wheels off of each. We got home
RVB won the oldest Euro tour match ever played. 115 years between the two men and oodles of years of dart throwing experience.
With my body being such a motherfucker right now I spent my day trying to keep the pain minimized. I set the printer to work mid day with this working wrench. It prints in place and 3 supports get removed and it smooths out with use. I printed it at 25% but may try a 50% to see if it could withstand some use.
My sled has shit all for places to put my phone so I found a model to try. I ended up having to go and edit a number of pieces to better fit my phone. The bottom bracket and the side brackets got enlarged. The screws I cut down in size in hopes the part would fit right.
The screw block for the back side ended up fitting the opening in the dash but the phone sat in a bad spot.
So I hacked the attachment point out of the main bracket and printed it out.
I used some heavy tack strip to stick it to the dash.
My phone slides into the top brackets from below then I drop the bottom into the lower. Today I am going to screw the bracket to the dash so it doesn't pop off sideways. THIS IS THE MODEL if anyone wants.
It was a bit later than normal but I got the fire going in the pit.
Then as I grilled out burgers the sky let open again with a little downpour.
Soaking was good but the jets only can do so much for my hips. The muscle relaxer helped last night at least.
Today PDC and UTD are on now, we are having a police gathering out at the corner, there are now 8 cars from around the county parked out there.... I have to till today, try and keep the pain at bay, put the new tube in @stryeyz bike tire, keep the printer going, and maybe grill this evening.
