Then I headed to the garlic garden where I finished moving the pine needles to the side then drove the tiller back and forth before I spread the spent brewing grain out over the top of it.

The grain has to dry a bit before I can till it in so it will sit for a while like this since it will be good and hot this week.

About 12:30 I headed up to the high school to get a bit of kiting time in. The wind was blowing pretty hard so it was good for me to get practice in.

As I was kiting I got a good blast of wind that picked me up, spun me around, and had me floating in the air for a moment before I hit the grass again and then killed the wing and dropped it to the ground.

I got in an hour or so then headed for home. I stopped at the quick stop for some beer and as change I got a 50 cent piece. This is a 40% silver coin and is worth $5.66 melt value alone! It's always a good thing when I can make money on a purchase. Or my purchase was discounted in a way...

Back home I was in the garden digging potatoes. I worked my way up the row and wasn't able to finish the row before the basket was filled. 19 pounds of Red Nordland spuds.

Got washed off then laid out on the deck to dry.

Really good matches with the PDC. Both went a long ways and the final is Littler v Wade.

Mid afternoon I was looking down towards the creek when I saw a mass of flying dots ascending from the burn pile. They were tiny dots that got backlit by the sunlight and when I walked down I couldn't see them, unless backlit.

R was complaining about his bike seat being too hard so I went and pulled one from the gear shed and put it on. He is MUCH happier with it now.

The boys were cutting potatoes and garlic for dinner and R came running out because he had found a garlic butt.

Down by the creek a bit later I got a couple shots of this little bumblebee on a flower. Looking through my identification guide it looks to be either a Hunt bumblebee (Bombus huntii) or the Two Form (Bombus bifarius).

Dinner was cooked on the Blackstone and I did the chicken while @stryeyz did the potatoes.

Short soak again thanks to my shit skin.

Bike ride this morning before it gets too warm. More potatoes to dig, weeds to pull and mow, and hopefully get the scooter going once the new controller gets here.
