Tour, 22 Mile Ride, Garmin Varia Radar, Session and Lunch, Baby Birds, Kit Storage - Tuesday
The tour of the alps is rather disgusting to watch the terrain, all I see are paragliding launches. Roads go everywhere but launches are not as easy to find, unless in the Alps. Was a bit surprised not to see anyone in the air but the helicopters likely dissuade them from being close.

Got the boys to school then got ready and headed out for a ride. I was testing out my new Garmin Varia radar and made sure to ride some higher traffic areas. It works amazing and is pretty good at detecting cars. The only wonkiness was when the highway traffic was visible from the side road I was on, it got a few wrong detections.
I rode to Deer Park and back to home and the radar was awesome for the roundabouts.

Feeling stronger in the legs and am able to keep it in a higher gear for climbs now. Not very worried about speed as I am about distance and overall workload.
That said I did get my fastest times on a bunch of distances. I had to be home before 10:30 so I could be to town by 11am for our session.
After our session which was rather taxing, we went to lunch at Applebees.

I got home with little no no motivation to do anything so wandered the farm checking on various things. These are the baby flycatchers in their nest. The parents are working overtime to provide enough food for them. I see them flitting about the trees and around the gardens non-stop.
The robins are doing the same and then the swallows are feeding their nest of babies in the siding of the garden shed. They come back to that same nest every year.

My cycling electronics kit storage is rather nice now. I used a small honeycomb storage wall panel on the shelf for my ham radio above my computer and desk so my earbuds have the cup and the Varia and Edge snap into the quarter turn adapters.

I had to glue them together as they are 3 pieces but they work perfect now and are loose enough to easily get them on and off. It keeps them organized and off my desk.
Boys got home from school and after some chores R went next door to play for an hour. I got dinner made in the evening and we were able to sit on the deck to eat in the nice warmer temps before the rain has hit overnight.

Today is rain day so I will likely just get a trainer ride in this morning after getting the boys to school. I have my weekly session this morning after the reschedule so will need to be done with my ride by 10:30 again. Will pick J up after track and decide on what to make for dinner this afternoon.

Garmin radar sounds amazing my friend!👍😀
So many crazy people on the road, this is a good way to avoid problems!
It's really helpful especially on the narrow roads with no shoulder.
I did not know that Garmin even made this product, technology keeps advancing my friend!👍🤗
So those are the baby birds from the blue eggs? 😀

These are different birds. We have many nests around the farm, most are semi visible like this one, the swallows are in the siding of a shed and not able to be seen.
