Too Early, Watercolor, Mile Run, 3DP, Town, PDC, Pole Climb, Fiber Fun, Darts, Dinner - Tuesday

Just Ugg.... 3 am yesterday I was awake..... Just like this morning. I really don't get the timing being the same each morning. I have reduced my alcohol intake down to nearly nothing but my waking time is still this wacko. I've gotten rather used to it but it is still quite annoying.

So I got my morning stuff done, post written, watercolors done for the day, and found the sheet of fabric ACTUALLY printed right. I have been having a fight with the #3dprinter and the damn filament that keeps getting borked in the extruder.

I got the boys to school then as soon as I was home I got changed and then went out for my morning mile. This is the upper path and it is a shitty path to try and run. The snow is like sand and makes the effort a LOT harder. So I had to dodge the trees on the sides to run on the grass/dirt. The return was a bit easier but still, I would rather the snow be melted rather than the shit little layer still hanging on. I will be running down the valley the next days I think.

I was back to the house in time to get ready and head into town for my weekly session which went really well. After I headed over to the bank to setup the new checking account for Fleming's Fix It which went nice and smoothly. I had all the needed info and a bit of cash to deposit to get started. Now all I need is insurance and I am ready to work. I was back at the house in time to see the last matches of the Saudi PDC Masters which Littler won easily.

HOLY SHIT was that tough. Fiber installer showed up and turns out the run is NOT easy. In order to get the run from our transformer pole to the house I got out my climbing gear and made a shuttle line that I clipped to our power mains. That required my pole climbing gear WHICH IS NOT MEANT FOR POWER POLES BUT FOR TREES!!!!!

IMG_20260120_140201.jpg

HOLY SHIT!!!!! My spikes are 3 inches long! They are meant for trees!!!! NOT for power poles!!! It was the MOST SKETCHY thing ever! While the tech went to pickup a length of fiber I climbed the ladder then
stepped off the ladder and kicked my spikes into the pole... It was stupid tough to stand on those little points as my leg and foot wallowed away from the pole. It was SUPER SKETCH! I got to the top and got the tag line clipped to the power wires and then to the pole with a carabiner. I had a weight ball on the carabiner to help it slide down hill.

WELLLLLLL..... THAT DIDN'T WORK! I had the rope slid halfway down the span and after hacking some branches in the creek area I was pulling the tag line and the carabiner came to a spot where a tree has been rubbing on the main lines.

BOOM!!!!!! FLASH!!!!!! SMOOOOOOOKE!!!!!!

Apparently the tree has rubbed a hole in the cover of 1 lead of our 240v incoming power lines. THANK GOD it is only ONE LEG that has the bare spot, if both legs would have been bare I would have likely blown the transformer or popped shit in the house. As it was the house was fine as the lights all stayed on so I knew that only one leg is a problem. BUT that meant no running the fiber until I get the bare spot fixed which the power company will have to come out to do for me. I will be trimming the trees all along the span to make sure this doesn't happen again. I will then call the tech and he will schedule the install day so he is not making numerous trips to do what should be done once.

He left about 10 minutes before the boys got home from school and I was WORKED!!!! I was working my ass of trying to get shit right for the install and had to rest for a while. Eventually I was up and fighting with the fucking 3dprinter that has continued to bork the prints thanks to the filament and the extruder. Bored out the plastic of the extruder housing in hopes it will reduce the clogs and managed to get it to print a half sheet of fabric last night.

My time at the board was good each visit. I just couldn't get the 3rd to follow into the bull...

Then the same with the triple 20, the 3rd dart just refused to follow the first two.

Dinner was pizza bagels we each made our own that went to the oven and turned out rather good.

Today: Post done soon, watercolors next, boys to school in a few hours, daily run, will contact Avista about the power wire, will get chainsaw going to trim out the trees and then will trim and chop, the printer will hopefully be going soon on more fabric, maybe more truck time, then this evening R has wrestling practice but it is watching the high school matches we will all go to.

I had even told the tech I was pretty sure the line was good... Then the carabiner hit the bare spot... Damn trees growing too much!

Years ago our neighbors tree caught on fire from the same situation!😬

Thankfully it is mid pseudo winter so the trees have no leaves so the flash had nothing to catch fire.
