Sunrise, Fly Shop, Mushrooms, Creek, Clean, Burn, 3DP, Krumble, Tortillas, Fly Tying - Tuesday
Rather nice sunrise yesterday morning which lead to a bit warmer day and some nice periods of sun through the day.

Had the printer going early and something wonky with the white PETg but this one was not as bad as the first try.

After a bit I got ready and headed to the fly shop. The tying materials are still being stocked but there is a wide range of animal fibers available.

The main point of going was to get the whip finish tool but got the other few things as well. The floatant will be super nice to have as many of my old flies are not exactly "dries" anymore.

The mushrooms look incredible all around the farm still.

There are even more around as I wandered the farm.

Headed down to the tunnel for a look and the moss in the creek is all super vibrant green.

The recent rains have helped give the creek a flow and all the maples have dumped their leaves.

These badass mushroom are growing from the tree at about 10 feet above the ground.

Managed to get the corner cleaned up and the plant stand setup that will just bee used as shelves since the plants are in the studio.

It had gotten to be too much cardboard piled so I hauled a couple loads in the garden cart down to the lower burn pile.

Nice to have the bulk of it burned but there was still some floating around the house that needs to get burned today.

Found a snowflake set to print out that is saleable. About 100 mins to print I kept the printer going on them all afternoon.

Kraken game came on earlier and things started okay, until they went south.

Next set.

I finally decided to make a batch of tortillas. I did a double batch which came out to about 18 in the end.

Just flour, salt, baking soda, oil, water is all that is needed, along with the press.

They really are the best fresh off the stove but still are super tasty next day.

Kraken managed to tie the game but then shit the bed in the 3rd.

While dinner was going in the oven I spent a bit of time on a fly. I used a #12 hook with the green thread for the body, rabbit hairs tied with a feather over. I whip finished the head then dotted it with uv glue and set it. It is my own design and reminds me a bit of a stonefly from above.

More snowflakes. I want to have a bunch printed and ready for the last craft show for @stryeyz and the boys to sell.

Shit outcome for them but they can't win them all. At least their record is better this time.

Last set off for the day as I abused my insanely sore muscles with the theracane. Bed early as I was just sore.

Will get boys to school first thing this morning, the printer is going on more snowflakes already, should gather then burn everything I can from around the farm, keep abusing my muscles to try and reduce the size of the knots, then this evening is our weekly session.

Really nice shot of the creek tunnel and the bright green moss.
The tunnel tends to be rather photogenic year round.
