Store, Gloves, 11.27 Mile Bike Ride, Screen Replacements, Springtime, Pedals, MICE!! - Monday

First thing yesterday morning after dropping the boys at school I headed down to North 40 to pickup new window screens.

The screens were utter shit thanks to the dog and his fucking sharp nails. Shit head can't keep his stupid paws off the things and had cut the metal screen in numerous places. I got the screens removed and then the first one redone.

Before 11am my gloves delivered. Now with it warmer I'm quite happy to have the fingerless riding gloves. Went with a solid brand in Pearl and these gloves fit me PERFECT!

So of course they had to be taken out for a ride. I headed north for the lake.

This time I did the loop around from the east to west side. There weren't many people there being a Monday mid day. I accidentally scared the shit out of an older woman as I went to go around her and her husband walking their dogs on the path.

So back south I headed and through the neighborhood.

I did a funky path but it gave me the more mellow Perry rd to stack a couple miles with.

I got back to the house and walked onto the deck, waited about 15 seconds and I hit 1 hr exactly for the 11.27 mile ride. Considering I can only get about 3 or 4 miles in an hour right now jogging/running I like the less impact of the riding and farther distances.

The screens got finished and I cleaned up my mess as the afternoon sun was really nice.

Looks SO MUCH better with the new screen on. For about $20 we got a few years from the last screens.

Finally got the pedals done. The PTSD/pain has subsided in my thumb and it is largely healed so I was able to work on them again. The toe clips seem like they will work well but I will know better today when I go for a ride.

I was in the pantry for a snack and heard crunching. Found mice and then went on a tear stuffing peanut butter into oodles of traps. I placed them around the pantry and within about an hour I had both of the little fuckers caught and killed. Today I will be placing even more traps all around in an attempt to eradicate the vermin.

Looking very much forward to the new earbuds as my current set are many years old and the batteries are not what they used to be. They will go to R as soon as I have my new ones. He is stoked to get them as he only has wired right now.

Today will be a busy one. Boys to school in couple hours, weekly session this morning, will spread traps around farm, get a ride in, till before the rains come, then we have our couples session this afternoon.

Nice job on the screens of my friend!👍😀
My son's dog always likes to blast through his screen door seems like he's repairing it all the time🙄

I've been meaning to put a sheet of plexi on the bottom to keep his paws from doing damage but keep slacking on it.

Ugh, mice are the pits! More than once, our cats have brought in live mice and let them go, and then we had to trap them. Now that we don't have a dog, the pet door has been removed and the one remaining cat has to ask to come in and go out, so we can monitor any "gifts" he brings us. Alas, that also means we are on constant door duty. He's a very demanding critter.

We are without cat now but part of our house is 100 years old and the mice have lots of paths into the walls. I find the peanut butter works wonders in attracting them to the traps. I have 6 kills in just the past couple days.

I see the pic, there seems to be some wonkiness going on lately with pics.

That looks nice and like it works amazing.
