Squash, Chiro, Cucs, Cabbage, 3DP, Bags, Spider, Potatoes, Meeting, Moon - Tuesday
I got the squash picked first thing yesterday but was cutting my time close so left it on the scale on the deck until I got back from my appointment.
The chiro helps a lot to loosen the joints but I have a shit ton of work I have to do to get the muscles to loosen a bit so as to keep my back from being a mass of knots.
I got home and got right back to work, the squash went to the cooler and I got a nice little haul of cucumbers from the greenhouse.
I've neglected the cabbage too much this year and went through the rows and got most all the large enough ones. 29.5 pounds from 3 varieties went to the cooler.
I have to go through and cut out the plants this morning so the animals can munch on them. The fucking cabbage moths are everywhere. I neglected to buy the insect barrier I was meaning to get which would eliminate this problem. I guess that will be for next year if I can remember to buy it.
Got the filament changed and the printer going on a knife and a case for the cardputer. The case didn't do well as I had too few bottom layers.
I got he first set of bags delivered. These are the netting bags and I got right to work filling some of them up.
BADASS for the potatoes. Each bag is 5 pounds. I then did a red bag full of 10 pounds of new potatoes, the small golf ball or smaller sized. They all ended up in the house for now.
I caught sight of this beauty barn spider on the gate by the greenhouse. She was in the midst of a meal so I let her be. I hope she doesn't mind the gate swinging open and slamming shut every so often...
Not the production I was hoping for from the rest of the row but the 20 feet gave me 30 pounds or the reds. It came close to the 2lbs/foot but I think just missed.
Washed and drying overnight on the deck.
The second try at the print job only with much higher infill and ironing. The case fits perfect and the knife went together easily and the Hoppes oil makes it slide smoothly.
I was trying to decide if I was going to go try and fly Inkler's before the meeting but as I watched the station it jumped to 17mph/25mph... I put my wing and harness away and waited until later to leave for the meeting.
I was there a bit early and then there was only 5 of us for the meeting which went a bit long. I finally excused myself and headed for home around 7:30.
On my way south from Chewelah the moon was big and partially hidden by the clouds.
Got home and not long after my arm did the numb thing again so I sat for the next hour plus and abused myself with the Theracane and the wand massager. I still slept like shit.
Today it will be raining some, I have plenty more in the garden to work on, make sure things are covered around the farm, the potato bags arrive for the 10 and 20 pounds and will get some filled, I have to abuse my muscles a lot to try and break up the knot convention that has taken up residency in my back, and with it cooler today I should really boil up more syrup for the bees to make sure they are well stocked for winter.
