Snow's Beginning Grain Run, The Dump, 3DP, Birthday Breakfast, Obook5, Thumbtack Job, Grilling, Drinks, Soak, SNOW - Friday
Well, that was a really long day yesterday that started at 3:30am when I woke to see the inch of snow that had already fallen outside.

This was the mass that was streaming at us and would continue to do so all day long.

As I walked to the car the snow was falling heavily.

It was like Star Wars with the snow zipping past the car.

THIS was the worst section of the entire trip. On my way home the heavy snow cover stopped at the top of the hill and stretched down to the Francis exit.

I got to the brewery before 5am and had 3 barrels waiting.

The city wasn't super deep in snow yet.

The 3 barrels loaded quickly.

And by 5:05am I was on the road for home.

I was the only one heading north and so was trail blazing paths in the snow covered road.

5:25am I was parked back on the farm as the snow just kept falling.

Watching some of the cycling from France gives me a number of things to analyze in regards to my own riding. Makes me want a road bike even more now!

6:30am and we had near 3 inches of wet heavy snow.

And the storm just stayed aimed at us the entire day.

7:30 and over 3 inches of snow, nearing the 4 inch mark.

It was 9am before I got the grain emptied out of the trailer. The sheep were quite happy for it and the birds managed to tromp their way to the pile.

R loves the wet snow as it packs SO MUCH BETTER.

1cm links in the chain did okay with the test print but then gave me problems on the much bigger prints.

We all headed up to Backroads for @stryeyz birthday breakfast/brunch.

Returning back home my OBook5 had ARRIVED!!!!! HOLY SHIT THIS THING IS AMAZING! So small but SO READABLE! It is like a small Samsung or Iphone shape and is fairly responsive. $80 for it and I already am plowing through my first book on it. 32gb will hold a shit ton of epubs.

Watched darts then at 2:30 headed to town for the job. It was a microwave swap as the old one was dead.

The new one went in easily but then the troubles began. I plugged it in and found it wouldn't start. Nothing worked as it acted like the door was never shut. The interior light stayed on then the thing would just start when the door shut.

So I pulled the switch from the old one and swapped it into the new microwave in hopes it was the problem, but it did nothing. Cori ordered a new one and will return the DOA one. I will go back and install the new one when it arrives. Interesting to me this is the 2nd job where the item to be installed is incorrect or DOA... I am happy with how I have handled them.

Not only does the world have the #bristolstoolscale but we now have the Bristol Stool Awareness questionnaire so you can not only #rateyourshits but now you can #rateyourbowels!

I got the fire going for grilling as it just kept snowing. It had turned to rain for about an hour before dark but then the flakes began again and they got bigger as the back of the storm finally came through.

After dinner @stryeyz and I went up to Backroads bar for a couple of #birthday drinks. Whiskey Glasses was packed next door so we went with the quieter place.

It was quite the dumpening over the day with over 6" of snow having fallen. Melting and compaction made it seem like less.

We needed it for sure and with the temps it will likely be melting quite quickly.

We got out to soak for a cycle while the snow began to move off to the south and east. It was 11pm by the time I got to bed and then was up by 4am this morning....

Today the snow has stopped and of course I got 4 hours sleep after a 20 hour day......
SERIOUSLY! F! M! L!
Anyway we have R's wrestling tournament this afternoon but will have a shorter morning as we have to be there early for warmups. My OBook5 will get a solid testing, the #3dprinter is going on more of the chain which had the 500 chain finish overnight and the next 500 is going now.
