Sled, New Client, Lighting Job, Watercolor Painting, 3DP, Resting - Monday

Quite shitty sleep yesterday had me up stupid early. Eventually the boys were up and I got them to school. As I sat in the car line I noticed the odometer on the sled was looking very fivey.

I made my return call regarding the job and scheduled it for the morning. The biggest block was how to get the ladder the 12 miles to her house. I managed to figure out a rather solid means of attaching it. The foam between was more than enough cushion and the 2 ratchet straps held it nice and tight, even at highway speeds. Super ghetto looking but it fucking worked so I could care less how it looks.

I got to the job by 11am and this was the task. Swapping out the old light fixture for the new. Turns out the new one was NOT a sensored version and was just an on or off style. She was not wanting it always on so I ended up reinstalling the old fixture and found light bulbs in the garage to put in as replacements. The old fixture has the motion sensor on it at least.

I have a new client now as her husband died last year and there are numerous tasks that she will have going forward. I know I will be going to do a 400hr service on her tractor which is a lot of greasing zircs and all travel points in the spring. Nicely she is going to spread my name to her family and friends. I would love to have a nice basket of clients that can give me a couple jobs a week down the line.

My view driving. The ladder was well within the car's footprint.

The day was primarily just cloudy and cooler. I was home by 12:15 and got the car unloaded.

For the daily it was Partridge so I found a bit easier reference pic to try. Zero definition but the shape and color are closer.

Then I worked on filling in my other quadrants for the day. This one I am fairly pleased with.

Rather pleased with the yellow and purple flowers in the bottom corner.

Cool to figure out the flowers with the side of the brush.

I do need to figure out being a bit faster if I want to do this daily.

Printed another paper backer shim for my other sketchbook and have it stuffed inside for later use.

Watched Spaceballs while I made dinner and @stryeyz was at her appointment. Ate dinner then we were all to bed by about 8:30. I really needed the sleep and took a couple muscle relaxers which actually had me sleep a lot longer this morning. Sadly now she has the suds and is staying home today and will work from here.

I will get the boys to school soon then have my appointment this morning. Supposedly it is to snow but I have yet to see any and am expecting more rain than anything the next days.
