Ski Day, Passes, Broken Ski, Space X, Creek, Kraken, 3DP, Prepping - Friday
The moon was super bright as it was going down yesterday morning. We were all up and getting ready early so we could be out of the house around 8am.
It was a mellow drive up to the mountain and we got a nice close parking spot. I ran up to the tickets and picked up our season passes for next year which we get to use the rest of this season, until closing next month.
The goal was to get us all to the top for a slow ski down the easiest run. @stryeyz missed the chair with us but was on the one behind.
So it ended up rather crazy. @stryeyz had a ton of trouble on the steep section and a ski patrol ended up getting a sled for her to the bottom. I had told the boys to go ahead down to a certain spot and so I left her to go catch up with them and I came over the hump just below her and there was R totally yard saled and when I got near I saw his ski was BROKEN!
You ever see a ski do THIS!? I sure as hell haven't. nor have the guys in the rental shop. R got a ride to the bottom with @stryeyz and I met them at the lodge and tried to get him a ski but the shop was out thanks to a ton of school kids there.
J did great the whole time and he got the most skiing in of all of us. This was my first run with the family.
I went up for a second run so I could get a bit of tree time in and dropped into some of my favorites along the main lift line. J was staying on lift 3 down lower and and got a lot of time in. It was near noon when we had all had enough.
The most important part was to get our passes which we did. The crazy is that ski breaking so badly. I sat in the car after I changed and found a person on Craigslist that has a ton so I have an email to them in hopes of getting R a new used set so we can go up over spring break.
It was a bit after 1:30 when we got home which was nice to have the rest of the day at home.
Super cool to see native Spokane astronaut launch on SpaceX.
It looks crazy, seriously cgi looking.
I managed to find the Wii remotes in J's pig pen of a room and so he hauled out the Wii so Mario Kart could be played.
While waiting for food order to be ready we all went for a wander down to the tunnel.
The Kraken managed somehow to do something right for once.
Got the printer going with more dummy sheets for color variety and they came out quite nice.
With the wrestling today we headed out to soak at normal time and weren't in for a long time. I had gotten everything together so we have less to pack this morning.
I was surprised to walk in to see the Kraken up by 1.
The second set came off the printer and I turned it off for the night.
I was rather amazed they managed the win. They need the points so badly but are still likely well out of any post season.
It's snowing.... about half an inch is on the ground and it will warm up later and likely all melt. R has a wrestling tournament up north this morning we will all be going to then this afternoon I have to take the truck back apart to hopefully get the tensioners installed.
