SIV Day 3, First Flight Of Day, 90% Collapses, SO HOT, 5th Flight In Pod, Lisa Water Landing, Swimming - Sunday

I was the first one up yesterday and I asked for the most likely possible problems that could happen while flying my Evora wing which I am SUPER light on. So up I got towed in the most gorgeous air that was smooth as glass, just like the lake was. I let off the tow and flew around a bit before getting to the meat of the flight. Full speed bar on, reach up and grab the left A riser and pull hard down, the wing collapses into a 90% collapse and I let off the speed bar and put my hands up to let the wing fly again and steer a bit on the surge. HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!! Then did right side, then full frontal. Spin appreciation moves then a nice fun spiral to finish it off.

Jesse got his first tow for his 35th flight in training.

Lisa went up for a flight to try helis and stalls. She pushed way too low and ended up landing in the lake. Andy was driving the boat right behind her and she nearly could have landed the boat.

I eventually got to my fifth flight which I did in my pod harness and under my Camino wing. It was a REALLY rough tow up and I was constantly active piloting my wing. I released from the tow then went through the basics all over starting with collapses then going to full speed bar collapses. VERY nice to have Andy say, "nice docile wing". After I landed I got everything packed up and was on the first run back to the camp where @stryeyz and the boys were swimming.

A cold beer and soaking in the lake was a very nice way to cool my core off. That C130 flew through multiple times and we had a pilot on tow as the plane went about a 100 yards from the tow line and a 1000 feet below George. It was INSANITY!!!! My second flight was about to happen when it flew through so we had to wait for the wake to clear before I could start the tow.

As we soaked we watched Lisa and Brad get towed up one behind the other then we watched them do some SICK acro moves.

Dinner was at the same place as the night before and we had the same food and drinks. It was an incredible sirloin steak salad.

Then a walk around the area after we got back to the room.

I will go back through the videos and track logs later when we are home. Today we go to the sapphire mine then head for home.

Always good to learn these maneuvers, so you are prepared for any situation in the air. When I was a student pilot stalls and spins were taught so you could be prepared to recover from potential bad situations.😇💪😊
