Session, New Tools, 36.3 Mile Bike Ride - Longest Yet, Heater Battle - Tuesday

Been taking my bp in the mornings as a way to check myself better physically. It is rather steady each day which is a good thing to see.

After my weekly session I stopped at North 40 to buy a hinge for my job today and also picked up a set of DeWalt drills. $180 for the set when each cost $180 on the display. SURE THING!

Both the impact and the drill together are the size of my hammer drill.... AND they use the same batteries which is a big plus.

Headed out for a ride and was just going to go to Miller's but then decided to go to the county line.

I hit the county line and stopped to get the pic and to swap my watch to my right hand in hopes it would give me a bit different heart rate reading.... but it was the same. I was still feeling good so said, "FUCK IT" and headed north farther. I made it to the 211 which is the road we take north to head to the ski hill. My Varia radar is super nice to have while riding along the highway and gives me a big sense of security knowing when a vehicle is approaching.

The park is FINALLY re-opened for public use after the near year it was closed.

It was downhill most the way home but with a 5-10 mph headwind most the way and I did a lap around the trailer park as a cool down which got me up over 36 miles and my longest ride yet. When I got off the bike I was really surprised that my legs were not destroyed and actually felt pretty good.

436 miles this month on the bike and 778 miles ytd.

Much more in line this time on the zones as 2 and 3 are how it felt.

Once home I had to climb in the attic yet again to fight with the heater. I hit the control board with the QD and made sure to spray each of the relays that are giving me the problems. After a couple non-starts it finally kicked into running and heated the house back up. God knows if I will be able to find a new control board, likely be able to find the relays which will have to be de-soldered then new ones soldered to the board.

Nice tools!!
I've heard about the radar lights but they're pretty expensive... why don't you use a chest strap for your heart rate? It's easier to check on your Garmin.

The radar is well worth the price. If it is windy I don't hear the vehicles until really close but this tells me 150 meters out when they are there. I have the garmin 515 which is the old model and was $175 but still works great.

I've got my heart rate broadcast to my edge so it is easy to see but I was trying the different wrist as the heart pumps out one arm first so wanted to see if there was a difference. It is pretty accurate compared to my blood pressure cuff.

it was a godsend today assembling a rolling kitchen counter for one of my clients. SOOOO many screws! The little ratcheting driver was perfect.

I’ve been there, my friend!😅
I just put one together for the wife six months ago because she wants to get rid of the permanent island in the kitchen.
Another project for me to work on Lol!🤣☺️
Definitely lots and lots of screws!🙄☺️
