Session, Horizon, Pump Replacement, Plumbing, MASA Meeting, Sunset - Tuesday
Sleep is shite again for me with this ick in my head and the sickness just plain sucks from dusk till dawn. Dawn to Dusk is not nearly as bad. I wonder why it is? Maybe it gets to fester unabated at night? Nonetheless I was up early and got my post done. I then headed out for my weekly session after getting a picture of the plumbing for the pump I replaced. I took the old setup with me as I needed to have the coupler half and to take measurements while building the new plumbing.

I went to Horizon Irrigation which I have used for over 15 years now to get my first business account for my Fix It. Super nice I will be able to see pricing and put in orders online. I was able to get a nice little discount on the pump for my client, this is at least the 5th pump they have supplied for his water feature.
Pump and plumbing parts loaded up I had to run home first to get tools and eat some food, then I headed down ot do the install.

Just so I knew the old height of the pump.

By noon I was ready to start the install.

First primed all the fittings and the them dry.

Then it was puzzle time as I rebuilt the output line. It went together pretty easily, just the measurements had to be pretty close. Once glued pvc is not just pulling apart again so measure many times, cut once. I let the glue setup and then plugged the pump in.

Nicely the falls look just right and the flow is on point. Covered the pump and pvc up with rocks and I was headed for home.

Back on the farm I had a couple hours then headed north for the MASA meeting in Chewelah. I had not been in some months during the winter as the meetings kept coinciding with the boys' school events. Had a huge salad for dinner while we met. The drive home was nice and fast thanks to most people driving normally and not just crawling. The sunset was rather nice.

And looked killer as I passed Loon Lake. Home by 8pm thanks to stopping for gas.

Today I have more work for Michelle, I have another tree to take down which I get to test out my new battery powered saw and climbing. No tree spikes today as this is a fir tree with oodles of branches. I will climb the branches and top the tree then limb on my way down and section it for haul off this weekend or an evening this week. I have a handful of other smaller tasks to take care of as well for her. There is potential for paragliding in the later afternoon at Parker I may go to if I feel up to it after the tree felling and other work.
